The Siri Method - Bogus?

Hey folks,

I have read a couple prep books so far and was poking around for one last book on Amazon and came across this:

http://www.amazon.com/Siri-Method-Shock ... 0977991903

I began reading the google books free preview and was pretty shocked at how contrary it was to everything else I have read. At the same time some of the logic in it was intriguing.

Being that I do not have the requisite experience to make any sort of judgment call I decided to post here. Anyone heard of this book? Know if its worth the pages its on? Has used its methodology?

Thanks!

That bro must not have been too good at it if he landed at Latham. But I think for certain types of learners class is entirely useless.

I'd be wary of completely disregarding lectures, since they give you (at the least) an idea of how the prof might phrase certain things in their exam.

That said, I'm leaning more towards the PLS approach.

The one thing I never get about guys like this is that they say the case method "has nothing to do with law practice" and neither do fact pattern exams.

If you're in litigation, these things have quite a lot to do with law practice. Sure, there's a lot you DON'T learn from them, but dealing with a client's problem is in many ways like an issue spotter, and in researching their problem you will inevitably have to read and distill cases.

This just goes to show how poor your competition will be if you go to a school that gives more relative weight to GPA than LSAT. That's what I took out of it.

You go ahead and try it, then report back to us in December on how your exams went.

That sounds like a very bad idea. Who wants to earn 20 bucks?
