Literal definition: After tier 1 in the US New rankings.

So there's no second tier after tier one? It just goes straight to three?

When the economy is good: t1 top50, t2 50-100, ttt the rest.
Now: HSYCNMV,UTEXAS And a few schools loose their TTT status if they are free, like wustl
