Or Judge DreddBildungsroman wrote:I would recommend Judge _________. Judges frequently prefer to be called "Judge _______" even after they've left the bench. For example, Judge Napolitano.

Always address him/her as "The Right Honorable Lord (Insert name here) of (insert your current location), Esquire, (insert initials of all relevant degrees)"
Failing that, "Broseph" will generally suffice.

You shouldn't be talking in class.

But seriously, I'd just wait it out and let someone else screw up first. Always a good strategy. Also good if you have a dumb question in class - hang tight and hope someone else asks the dumb question. If that fails, you can always ask them after class and at least then nobody else will hear the dumb question.

I've always heard that you should address someone according to your relationship to the person (assuming it's safely respectful-sounding). If he's lecturing, use professor. If you're in the courtroom, use judge. And so on. I doubt he would care, unless he's particularly egoistic. Which may be the case. You be the judge of that.
But what do I know? I'm not in law school yet.
