Top Law Schools

Is is excessively strange for me to have my mom help me move? Well to be more precise, I don't need her, I just need extra luggage =D.

p.s. I can't drive, much too far..

I don't see how that would be weird at all. I know tons of people whose parents help them move and you should always use all the "helpful" help you can get.

That's not weird at all. You need someone to help you move.

I did think parents at ASDs were strange though, ESPECIALLY ones who asked questions and were generally pushy.

Parents = free.

Movers = money.

I helped my parents move into their new house. the least they could do is help me move my 6 boxes and couch into my apartment.

Dude. Take all the help you can get. Moving sucks. I'm probably older than you and if I can weasel one of my parents into helping out, I will.

This is only weird if your parents also attended ASD with you.

I would chuckle, but no big deal. I've also been out of college for almost a year and have been taking care of myself for like 5 years. It's gonna be surreal when I show up along with kids who still have their parents in tow lol.

Why would you chuckle? I am married and on my own too, and I wouldn't think anything of someone who uses a hand moving in. They are your parents; they are there to help. Maybe it is my culture but I fail to see what the problem is.

We all do, but them helping me move in is not going to cause me some trauma.

Oh... I dunno about that... I didn't move out to go to college. I stopped living with my parents when I got married, which happened when I was 20.

Whats wrong with parents attending ASD? Is it that horrible for parents to be curious about what there children are doing with their lives? What if they just want a break from their own (possibly boring) daily lives, and want to tag along as a last outing with their kid? (given you will be living the life of a student for 3 years, then an attorney after that and may not be able to see them ever again lol)

Think you all are weird - be nice to your parents, they raised you. (edit: well i think most of us were raised by our parents; if not, this doesn't apply)
