darn that's rough. I don't quite recall my sunet ID taking 24 hours though, so hopefully it'll be sooner for you

Finally got access! Happy with the award (came out nearly the same as Yale's). If everything checks out at ASW, then SLS it is :D

Yay!! How exciting for you! :D

also good to know that the two were comparable, I've been curious about how HYS compare in grant aid.

Congrats, Hammy! I feel like SLS ASW is gonna be awesome.

Has anyone received finaid info from both SLS/HLS and care to share how they (generally) compare?

I remember reading somewhere that Stanford has a minimum amount it requires all students to take out in loans. Does anyone know the link to this, or did I imagine this up? I just wanted to get a relative feel for my aid package. I already looked at the 509 btw. Thanks.

Looks like it's $40,000
Note it's a minimum $40,000 in self help, not in loans. Some of that $40k can be covered via earnings, e.g., via TAships or RAships.

My debt at the end of 3 years was less than the cumulative minimum self help figure due to income etc.

Looking forward to (hopefully) meeting some of you this weekend! I'm already in rainy Palo Alto.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
