Those of you who have jobs:

1. Are your employers aware of your interest in law school?
2. When do you plan on giving notice?
3. When do you plan on working until?

1. Nope
2. Late March
3. Late July - if by "working" you mean physically being present at the office for a few hours a day

I guess for me, I plan on coming back to work in this office after law school, so I am trying to not burn any bridges. They definitely have to be aware that I'm not planning on being a paralegal forever, so I'm just struggling with giving too early of a notice. I haven't committed to a LS yet, but definitely want to give them more than 2 weeks - a month notice. Two of the attorneys know, but the main wigs don't.

Also can't decide when I want my last day to be. I doubt I'll go on vacation before the start of 1L.

1. No...only one co worker knows
2. As soon as I know 100% that I have a scholly offer I'm willing to take and I'm definitely going. Probably early April. I having he luxury of knowing that they won't kick me out if I give my notice too early or anything
3. School start date - saved vacation time - 1 extra week = my last day. I want a few weeks off before LS but I need money

I have over two weeks of vacation saved up that I get paid out for, so I'm probably going to do that bc any amount of beans help.

a month is on the high side right? doesnt seem like that would leave a bad taste.

Im giving like 2-3 months notice at my job because the culture is really good and i know they won't try to take advantage of the fact that they know im leaving. plus its common for people that work in my role to leave for some type of grad school after a couple years so they sort of expect it already.

Yeah, I think a month is fine. Two weeks is "common" but I think it's kind of rude to give just two weeks unless you're going to another job (who obviously wants to start you right away). I think a month is good if you're not sure how they'll react....I'm giving several months but same with Jeeves, they're not going to take advantage and I know it. Otherwise I'd probably only give a month

1. Yes, because my co-worker ratted me out 3 months ago...
2. As soon as I settle on a school (just helps me have a smooth narrative of why I'm leaving when I am).
3. June 2nd. Then I'm going to visit a friend in Europe for 2 weeks and then moving in July.

2. When I make my deposit, so around April.
3. Somewhere between July 1st-15th.

1.) Yes, my manager wrote me a LOR, so she's known for 16? months. I wasn't concerned about losing my job because of the industry and the role I perform. She still hasn't found a replacement though, so now her plan is to hire me as a part time consultant lol.
2.) I plan on giving as much notice as possible, so probably mid-April
3.) I am taking a month off of work, so probably work til July 15.

Yes. I "gave my notice" about 8 months ago, I retire 30 June, so I'm working right up until the end because I've got this thing going on.

1. Yes. Luckily when I was hired I talked about going to LS in my interview so they've always been aware this was the end goal. (I work as a paralegal now.)
2. n/a
3. I'm thinking of working pretty much up until I move, but cutting down to 3 days a week once July hits. I want to have time to enjoy my summer before leaving, and my job is flexible enough that they will probably allow me to do that (especially since they know I'm leaving anyway).

2. One month ago.
3. End of April. (Loathed my job and the idea of another few months was more than I could bear)

Every morning when my alarm starts going off at 6 am, I consider quitting my job immediately.
