I'm a big fan of laser printers because you don't have to worry about ink so it ends up saving a bunch of money in the long run. I've had the Samsung SL-M2020W, for like 2 years and haven't had to replace the toner yet in it and its been great (only b&W though). I think you can pick it up on Amazon for ~80. I always had problems in college with the all in one printers and spent a ton of money replacing ink cartridges...

Thanks for this! Not sure about the exact one but after reading this I did a bit of research and it definitely seems like laser is the way to go. I guess they can have some additional mechanical issues that can be costly but I would imagine those aren't common for the level of printing we're doing for law school. My only concern is not having the choice to print in color if needed but I don't think it would come up often and, if it did, I could just make a point to print color items at school.
