Here's the school's guidance on the matter:

American Bar Association standards require that we receive a final, official copy of your undergraduate transcript showing receipt of your bachelor's degree. The copy of your transcript that you provided to LSAC in the application process is not sufficient to satisfy this requirement. Please request that your undergraduate institution send your final transcript directly to us as the address set forth below, no later than August 1, 2017:

In case you missed it, the school sent around an email containing financial aid and other logistical deadlines for the academic year this morning. You'll find them below:

KEY DATES
July 17: Student Health Insurance online waiver site opens
July 25: Fall 2017 term bill available through QuikPay@UVA (under “Finances” section on SIS)
August 1: (For incoming students) iGrad training due
August 1: Accept student loans on SIS, sign promissory notes (one for unsub loan and one for Grad PLUS loan), complete on-line student loan entrance counseling and sign up for direct deposit
August 1: (ALL STUDENTS) Update mailing address/contact information on SIS
August 21: Fall term Financial Aid disburses to the university (living expense funds available approximately 3-10 days later, via direct deposit)
August 23: Fall term bill due (late fees WILL apply after this date!)
August 31: Student Health Pre-Entrance form due (1Ls and Transfer students)
September 11: MANDATORY Student Loan Entrance Counseling session for first-time borrowers
September 18: Student Health Insurance waiver due (2Ls and 3Ls – this includes YOU!!)
October 31: Student Health Insurance premium of $2,690 due for students enrolled in Aetna Student Health Insurance plan
December 19: Spring 2018 term bill available through QuikPay@UVA (under “Finances” section on SIS)

Rising 2L here. We actually found out about a week before classes started last year. Your class schedule will end up on SIS and you can deduce which section is yours based on that with the list of 1L profs above. I think the law school sent out a formal email about it a few days later.

Rising 2L in the midst of OGI, but just wanted to say: do an event for the class to meet up. It was a great kick off to the school year for the current 2L class.

Sections! Wooo!

Hope everyone is pleased with their section assignments! Looks like we have a slightly larger class coming in, with 320 people on the list. Will be curious to see if our peer schools enroll larger classes as well.

Are grades posted in the "My Academics" section of SIS? Still unsure if I want to know or avoid knowing as much as possible but wanted to make sure I checked the right place if a dare to look now and again.

Grades are posted under the "Grades" drop down menu under the Academics Section on the home page of SIS. You have to select the term you want to view grades for though.
