Books cost me a lot more this semester than the last.

I am incredibly cheap about books and buy the most raggedy used books I can find as long as they're the correct edition. I spent $120 on books for this term.

I can't focus with any sort or highlighting or notes in the margin that aren't my own. Drives me nuts and obviously limits used book options.

Tip for 2/3L years: don't buy textbooks.

Yep, and we will be for another two weeks.

Technically my grades are due in three days, but I'm enjoying my friends' misplaced optimism that we will actually get them back that quickly. That said, I did have a near heart attack from an email from the registrar last night that, in the subject line, said grades were up... it was for our pass/no pass legal research class

This feels like waiting for grey day all over again.

ETA: in good news, I think I'm going to manage to keep it under $200 for books this semester!

My law school friends but I figured I could anonymously share here. I'm so pumped! I seriously thought I had bombed this semester but I ended up doing pretty well ☺

F*ing bad-ass! Congratulations, you should be proud! It is probably not a good idea to tell your LS friends now though, some are probably hurting, and it is not likely they CALI'd legal writing. So, nice work!

It really does. Our grades are technically due the evening of the 12th but I have heard the professors are often late with them.

Thanks guys!!! I really appreciate it. Yeah I'm definitely not telling any of my LS friends lol, which is why I wanted to share anonymously on here. I really hate bragging but I tried telling my parents and they just didn't really understand. They're foreign educated and neither of them know much about law lol.

I'm only waiting on my civ pro grade.

Yep. Professors had to submit our grades to the registrar by today, but no idea when they're going to be released to us.
