With you there bud; I'm pretty sure we're the only school in the country yet to be fully examined/violated.

Edit: and on that note, time to dig into the December 2013 test. QUEUE THE FAKE-IT-TIL'-YOU-MAKE-IT FALSE EXCITEMENT OF MOTIVATION

warheit, have you tried taking a practice test from Buss using your outline, just like you would on the test?

that's how I "tested" my elements outline.

The nice thing about CivPro is that you have the FRCP and your textbook, you should be able to just look up anything you forget. I don't think a perfect outline is as important for CivPro1 as it is for other classes where there's not as much black-letter law to refer to.

I would also make sure you have short case briefs for any cases that you think might be important.

You'll be fine. It'll be okay.

(Also, there's obviously the situation where you forget something you don't realize that you're forgetting, but I wouldn't worry about it as much for Civpro because so much of it is in relatively discrete units. eg. pleadings don't relate that much to other parts of the case. So if you are dealing with pleadings, you just have to remember everything about pleadings, not all of CivPro.

It'll be fine, you'll be fine. Hang in there.

unless you have a weird professor, civ pro is civ pro.

I always print out the longest outline I can find, loosely tab it while skimming it, and stick it in my binder. idk if I ever looked at it during 1L but it was a nice safety net.

Key the main topics to your syllabus and cross reference the nitty gritty with other outlines. If you're feeling especially neurotic, and just need a release for your nervous energy, make a case list and make 1-sentence briefs for them but it's really not too beneficial unless you're the type of learner that remember things better when attaching it to a story.

Reading your notes over and over is a waste of time. Writing PTs is credited but also only really necessary if you're gunning.

If you're feeling strung out, check into the Sealocust thread.

IF my "philosophy outline" were completely formed, then you might be correct. Alas, it's only proximately there...Is McDowell's hiring?

I have to say I hated how long it took me to finish that exam, but she's adorable and I laughed a lot.

Mostly at how cute the questions were, but also a little bit of maniacal confused laughter.

I'm still doing this. Happened while showering today and realized an argument I missed.

I feel like I'm pretty good about not thinking about the exam after I take it. It's a p marginally useful talent, but it was pretty much the same way with the LSAT where I would have completely forgot what was on it 10 min out of the test room

Apparently the 'holy shit I have no idea how that went' feeling is normal, and the 'damn I crushed it' feeling probably means you're bottom third, so don't even worry.

I don't like this news. I feel like both of mine so far have gone pretty well. Below median, here I come.
