I just grew incredibly bored with it. I have no shame in admitting the Vampire Diaries is the best show on the CW.
I watch Flash. I haven't watched Arrow since season 1.

How does Vampire Diaries compare to Gossip Girl? I have no shame admitting GG is one of my top 5 all-time-favorite shows. Maybe a little shame.
First off, no shame. GG is easily the best show the CW has ever had, and it's easily my favorite all-time show. Sure, Season 6 was rushed and lacking. But damn was Chair dynamic and I can't think of a better character than Blair on TV.

I like the Vampire Diaries a lot. I really do. I stopped watching mid-way through Season 5 because the whole Passenger storyline was lame imo, and I honestly got fed up with Elena. She had the same drawn out story: "omg I love you Stefan, you're my great love." "But Damon I love you even though you're a monster." "Jeremy died for the hundredth time boohoo." "I hate who I am as a vampire." LIKE DAMN GIRL GET A GRIP. SHIT. Losing her was the best thing that happened to the show because this new season is amazing. Probably the best since Season 2 when the Originals came in and Stefan lost his humanity. I also really the new brotherly bond path the show is taking with Stefan and Damon, and their background is rich so hopefully that'll lead to at least 2 more seasons (though, if ratings keep dropping I doubt it  ). That all being said, I don't think I ever felt similarly tired of anything with GG. Maybe when Jenny went full goth raccoon, or when I was like 200% done with Vanessa's principles. But that stuff was fine, and the show always redeemed itself in some promising way.

tl;dr: GG consensus #1 all-time. 5/5 Vampire Diaries consensus #1 currently, top 3 all-time (Teen Wolf is better cause, c'mon, Stiles). 4.5/5 (-.5 cause I'm still salty about Elena and all her incessant bitching)

It's been getting a lot better, imo. Second half of Season 2 and Season 3 so far are great. Plus, I like Klaus for the same reason I like Damon: they're sassy, douchy in a funny way, and generally don't have any fucks to give. BUT, idk if it's just me, but Davina is starting to annoy the shit out of me. Time to write her a new character arc or just write her off the show. (Kol's gone. Stop whining. Live a little.)

Yeah, I'm not sure I ever really liked her.

She was tolerable the first season, but it's just been downhill from there. I like Vincent though. I feel like they could do a lot with him, and it'd be a shame if they don't.

I'm super worried since they moved TVD to Fridays. If they cancel it before Damon and Bonnie have a chance to hook up i'm gonna lose my shit.

However, with iZombie, Jane the Virgin, and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on the schedule now I don't think TVD/Originals is even close to CW's strongest show.

Dylan O'Brien is like 500x better than that awful show. Idk why he's even still there when most everyone else has left and he's doing blockbusterish movies.

So my first exam is done. Yay. My next one on Friday should be an easier one (for me).

Nice. I'm in the same boat. Civil procedure Friday. Next day and a half is gonna be intense.

Wow, I just read about it and it's so sad. Apparently there's also casting problems with Somerhalder, and I'm in the minority in thinking the show is better without Dobrev. Chances of an 8th season are really slim now, which is sad considering all the better shows are hitting their ends with PLL and Teen Wolf getting ready to end within a year or so too.

Also, I read an interview back about it and the reason why O'Brien's still there is because he loves working with Tyler and he feels obligated to seeing it to the end that the show that gave him the push he needed works out however it needs to. Doubt he'd ever leave.

It's definitely not worse, though I don't love all the heretics stuff. I'm shocked Dobrev took that long to leave; an off-screen breakup coupled with a continued on-screen relationship has gotta be rough.

Yeah, it's clear they're all very close, but still, this last season was particularly stark in the difference between his material and everyone else's. He's doing stuff like that amazing ten-minute segment without any dialogue, and the others are, um... failing to read a book for ten episodes straight? Idk.

I read she only stayed on because her original contract said she had to for 6 seasons. I don't think she thought it'd go down the way it did with the off-screen drama and she probably would have stayed longer without it, but I have no doubt the drama played a huge role in her booking it. Now she's holding out for "deeper, edgier" work. So ~artsy~

I actually kind of like the heretic stuff. It's better than the humanity on/off + cure storyline they kept pushing. But I think they should have done a lot more with Kai. Great character with lots of potential just wasted, unfortunately. I suspect it's because the show's done and the writers/producers know it, so why not have the last season include a bunch of 3 year time jumps and end the show with a nice little bow?

I think he really came into his own with the Nogitsune plot in, I think, Season 3? His acting was phenomenal. My God, esp. at the end. I never really put much stock into the acting skills of folks in shows like Teen Wolf, but once I saw how he pulled that character off I knew he was the best one on the show. He fully deserves the praise and deals he's getting.

hm finally started to notice people being a little more tense

the whole 'graded against your section' thing seems like it makes things kind of awk around this time

It's still pretty friendly and not totally awk around here, but the stress level has been elevated. The girl sitting next to me started bleeding all over herself right as we were about to begin... whole exam was put on hold (guess it was a bad bloody nose?)
I also heard that after the exam people started crying after they left the room. Next exam will be interesting

Just be calm and relaxed in and around class, it will drive others nutty.

If I had a dollar for the amount of times someone has brought up how great their outline was, I wouldn't need a Biglaw salary.

hm I feel like people tend to undersell themselves here

but will say we have some straight up psychopath workaholics who are going to kill it (or themselves) in biglaw, but maybe not bc most of them are pretty good people

There are people in my section that just started outlining last night for our Friday exam. 8)
