So what I'm hearing is that I need two versions of my outline. One for print and one for backlit screens. Am I missing a format? What font do I use for projecting my outline onto a screen/wall/sheet?

everything_bagel wrote:I wasn't feeling that stressed about exams (we only have two) but everyone else already seems to be done outlining :(

Don't stress. Most of those gunners probably used the wrong font for their outlines! You are actually ahead.

So much stress ITT. Do you people have earlier exams or something? Our first isn't until 12/11, and then there's a free weekend before getting started on the rest. I feel like that's more than enough time to read/make all the outlines I could want..

First on the 9th, last on the 17th

ETA: but as early as the 7th and as late as the 18th for other sections/people

Aim for the stars but keep in mind that even though your prof "wants everything," if no student in your class can give everything then it doesn't really matter.

The model answer he gave us was the top scoring answer from last years class. 61 pages, 13,000 words. It even tied together quantum theory with general relativity at the end. It theoretically had everything.

Just take a deep breath and maybe listen to some music or watch a video to help relax. I suggest this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QWaWsgBbFsA

can someone explain consent and 1404?
is consent only required when the receiving court didn't have original jurisdiction? or can transfers never be made to courts that wouldn't have had original jurisdiction?

He explicitly said that this was the longest exam he had ever received and "way over the top." He said that most people write 17-20 pages on average, and one year the best answer in his class was 12 pages. The length of this specific answer is nothing to worry about

Might be wrong here, so someone should chime in.

Consent is a way of getting jurisdiction over someone (e.g., a general appearance). So I think the answer to your question is yes.

For transfers, I believe you can only transfer to somewhere that the claims could have been litigated in as well. You can't just transfer somewhere that wouldn't have been a reasonable alternative.
Ex.
You get sued in Michigan cause you have contacts there, but you're from Ohio. You move to transfer cause your parents are old and sick and you need to be close to them to take care of them. Transfer is granted in that instance, I believe (barring things like Choice of Law Provisions or Forum Selection Clauses).

I just grew incredibly bored with it. I have no shame in admitting the Vampire Diaries is the best show on the CW.

First exam tomorrow at 9am. Dean is hosting a breakfast at 7:30, but I'm not going since I don't want to have to poop during the exam.

Also, with study groups, is it just me or can things get really confusing and out of hand quickly?

The smell would probably weaken your competition, though.

I watch Flash. I haven't watched Arrow since season 1.

How does Vampire Diaries compare to Gossip Girl? I have no shame admitting GG is one of my top 5 all-time-favorite shows. Maybe a little shame.

I watch VD. Like Originals (a spinoff series) better though.
