Because the quality of the relationship you have with your spouse is far more important for your life enjoyment than money.

Again, though, this seems to conflict with the other suggested career paths kids frequently hear, unless you're distinguishing partner-relationships from every other "soft" factor in life that people typically value. It's not like you can't have a quality relationship with someone who has a lot of money; in fact, I think there have been studies that have shown it's more likely with someone with money.

"We" certainly do keep the other partner's success and earning potential in mind when advising our kids about dating and about socializing in general. I am not rich. I have dated rich people. They have gotten no end of bullshit from their parents over dating me for that reason.

Hikko the difference is pursuing someone because they are rich and pursuing them because spending time with them is nice. If those things happen to line up, that's great, but we shouldn't encourage people to ignore compatibility and just follow the $$$. Having a pleasant marriage is >>>

Putting the final touches on mine now too. Really wish this was the practice and the practice was the graded one. Oh well, I think it'll work.

Ditto, except I have some outlining

download every outline you can for each of your classes and synthesize them with your notes

take a practice exam

fix your outline

repeat for each class ad infinitum

Get the 100+ page outline from 2L who booked the class. Tab it. Fuck it. Repeat.

We have open hard drive exams ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm actually not that jealous. #separatethecurve

You're not going to fail. Are they open book?

I wish I was at your school and could send you the best outlines.

Oulining is not necessary. It's super overwhelming. Just let it go.

Have you taken any practice tests? Take one. Make a list of the things you got wrong. Review them. (With a friend if it helps you procrastinate less). Rinse, repeat. You'll be okay, I promise.

I'm actually glad my classes aren't "open hard drive" or even (with one exception) open book or open notes. I feel like that would make everything much worse.
