Good study strategy! Making arguments for and against each direction of swipe. The 5-7s should be pretty easy to come up with a winning argument on each side. The 1-4s and 8-10s are what spark the creativity!
At least I would think so. I've never "tindered"...

Turning in my memo in the morning . . . my brain feels mushy from reading the same thing over and over and over.

Edit: my lwr is graded ... I'm screwed

whats annoying about lrw is that it's the one class where you basically have to live in your professor's office to get a good grade. oh and research sucks too. oh and writing it sucks even more. it's just a giant ball of suckage.

P/F LRW was the #1 reason I chose UVA, right before career prospects/money

I lucked out with P/F LRW. Had no idea this was even a thing to consider.

I fell on the other side of this... had I known it was a thing I definitely would have gone another way

Optional ungraded midterm in Torts was interesting today. One question, 50 minutes of madness. I flipped through my notes from the first six weeks of class during lunch and accidentally over-caffeinated before going in. Fact pattern was about a page long. By this time, I'd forgotten everything from Getting to Maybe.
Now I understand what people mean when they say outline dump and typing test. The fact pattern was basically throwing the kitchen sink into the question and recalling elements and defenses to pretty much everything that had been covered up to that point.
When I took my earplugs out at the two minute warning, I could hear the frantic pace of typing noticeably increasing.
I really wish that I could type faster and am pretty bummed out about having missed mentioning the hot pursuit doctrine and a contributory negligence issue. We get the model answer on Wednesday. I was actually surprised that some people didn't show up.

Anyone else have a midterm? How was it?

Gray, are you in control of the Canadian delegation to GULC? If so, can you rein in your countryman?

The guy in Civ Pro who asks a lot of questions? Like me he is a dual citizen and so American students have equal jurisdiction in reining him in.

But, you have two citizenships in common, thus making your venue(?) more appropriate/convenient for the reining. :D

I'm surprised our prof doesn't sass him more aggressively.

LRW research projects make me depressed.
At least they are ungraded? I feel like I'm putting way too much effort into these and the return is pretty minimal.

Especially on the question that was asked and answered the previous class. I understand asking clarifying questions, but if you want to continue debating a topic with a professor - probably a bad idea to begin with - take it to office hours!

Yeah that's LITERALLY what office hours are for.

Maybe it's just because I haven't encountered any egregious ones, but I don't get the problem with gunners. They waste a little time in class and allow me to zone out for a few seconds. Not seeing the harm.

With one exception the gunners in my classes are rather moderate. That exception at least knows she's annoying and has been really quiet recently. Just had a pop property essay in class yesterday. Ungraded, but with feedback.

That must be nice! Our prof answers in a sarcastic fashion. You would think that would keep the hand down for a bit...

I would just rather hear the professor have time to cover what we're supposed to be covering/what will be on the exam than to hear someone ask inconsequential questions just to flex for no reason

My attitude (probably wrong) has been that the curve makes how much ground the professor covers kind of irrelevant.
