Nah, I suspect Melvin McGunner is this one weird dude who is a different story. The batshit insane dude I'm talking about is an adjunct prof in the business school (no idea how that happened), and he's like old, divorced, with 3? 5? children. There are many stories of his shenanigans, but the best one is the SBA election process. You've probably already heard of him if you're friends with any 1Ls but here's the 411.
He was running for SBA rep, and the email said the word limit for the candidate statements was like 400 words or something. He went through the by-laws and the by-laws said 750, so he got all up in arms with the SBA election committee as well as posting this in the C/O 2018 facebook group:
Dear Fellow 1L'ers,
My first act in representing you, should you be so kind as to elect me as 1L SBA Representative, will be to ask each SBA member to actually read the By-laws so we understand the organization..
I read those that were sent and have asked for an actual up-to-date copy.
In reviewing what our responsibilities to our class are in representing you, I uncovered an issue with the current SBA's handling of this election, who apparently had not understood the by-laws.
The existing SBA is kindly fixing it for this election.
The SBA, along with the administration, has also agreed to review the by-laws as soon as we are elected, by special committee. I am most happy to participate.
Thank you for the opportunity,
"With you in battle...I bringeth the hordes."
Demanded that people be given extensions to resubmit a new candidate statement. Extended the election process by like a week. Needless to say, he didn't win. There are many other posts on facebook by him as well.
Hikko try to stalk me too please, I need to know my exposure.
