Finished skeleton outline of intentional torts and defenses. Already four pages.
At least I can say that I've officially started outlining.

Meanwhile my (visiting) torts prof just sent the class a long email about "Classroom Etiquette," lecturing us about how apparently disruptive it is for anyone to get up to use the restroom or anything during class. God forbid.Gray wrote:Yeah my Torts prof manages to keep everyone interested for 2 hours and keeps us on track so that we're never rushing through cases at the end. Also the people in that class are mostly willing to participate, so it's not dull.

That's just ridiculous. Pee in the middle of the classroom to show dominance.radio1nowhere wrote:Meanwhile my (visiting) torts prof just sent the class a long email about "Classroom Etiquette," lecturing us about how apparently disruptive it is for anyone to get up to use the restroom or anything during class. Do people actually torrent on their laptops? That's just such a recipe for de-light.

2 hours is brutal. I love that all of my classes are 50 minutes.Gray wrote:Yeah my Torts prof manages to keep everyone interested for 2 hours and keeps us on track so that we're never rushing through cases at the end. I made it 6 weeks without getting cold called. Today I got called on in Crim (and the professor pronounced my name correctly, which makes me think something is up). I started off strong and followed up with "uhhhhhhhhh........." when I was asked about a statutory rape case that we had to read a week ago.

We're pretty behind in my ConLaw class, but still doing the readings like we aren't. I got cold-called on and had to answer a question from a reading about a week earlier. The question was so clearly obvious, but I blanked. Professor probably thinks I'm an idiot. Happens to us all, I guess.unsweetened wrote:2 hours is brutal. Just think of the blind(ish) grading! Their perception will likely change when you destroy the examrnoodles22 wrote:We're pretty behind in my ConLaw class, but still doing the readings like we aren't. P.S. I like the two hours classes. The way my schedule is setup, they cut down the time spent on peripheral ventures - e.g. between classes. Plus, there is the lovely 5 minute break halfway through!

law school thus far:
6am - wake up early, feeling great, motivated, etc.
10 am -- i am going to bomb 1L.
1pm - wow i really understand adverse possession. i am totally going to ace the final.
4pm - jesus i totally missed the point of a 12b6 mottion in civ pro. might as well dropout.
7pm - awesome, definitely understand consideration in contracts. will definitely crush the final.
10pm - i'll be lucky if they don't kick me out for being so dumb
1:30 am - shit, it's still early. if i go to bed now i'll finish bottom 10%

Feels like 50% of my section went to bar review, the other 50% went to an international law mixer (complete with full supply of adult beverages), and I did reading for next Monday's torts class. I feel like I'll be lucky to end up at median.
