Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
My Civ Pro did this. Specifically she gave us a top answer, a median answer, and a low-scoring answer from a past exam, including annotations where each answer should have been more deeply developed or was missing an issue altogether. She also shared her grading rubric for that question, showing how many points were available for each subtopic within the question.Gray wrote:I wish they posted a median answer too. "This is what one ridiculous genius managed to accomplish, but THIS is the bar you need to exceed"
Same prof as above gave us our spread after the exam was over. Out of 270 possible points, high score (A) was 155; low score (C) was 67.Poldy wrote:My contracts professor tried to make people feel a little better by showing us his curve from the last two years. The highest A+ answer got like 90% of the points and the lowest B+ (median) answer was about 50%. I found that comforting when looking at really good answers.

Thank goodness for E&Es. Without them I wouldn't even know that there are things I don't know

Re: Tonight, We Dine in He1L
which casebook did you guys have? My casebook seriously breezed over appeals (like 9 pages w/o any cases) and so we spent like 15 mins on it in class. I figured the reason we barely touched on it was because there are completely different procedural rules for appeals.buckiguy_sucks wrote:yeah man wtf glannon where the appeals at dudedaedalus2309 wrote:E&E Civ Pro doesn't have a chapter on appeals.Big Red wrote:Thank goodness for E&Es. Us too, but the prof is an ex appellate litigator so I guess we had to cover his ~baby~.buckiguy_sucks wrote:no clue but our prof <3s appeals so we did a class on themND2018 wrote: which casebook did you guys have? We're done Friday morning, and I will be at the drunchiest drunch to ever drunch approximately 5 minutes afterwards.

Wondering if taking an 8 hour take-home in bed will (a) hurt my productivity, or (b) help me feel more comfortable with the shitshow that tomorrow is going to be.

I will be taking two exams at home this week, although unlike my office, I do not currently have any multi-screen systems at home.Wahrheit wrote:I'm taking mine actually at home, on my desktop. Nonetheless, it is a lot easier to get comfy in my home office compared to some classroom.

I'm cafe'ing it. That way someone else can cook me food in the middle, and the coffee stays brewed.
Good luck tomorrow all, especially my Buss/Casey peeps; y'all are gonna kill it.
-- missed the be-examined-in-bed comment earlier; that's actually probably the move (not that I don't see the three screen appeal, brother )

All this not living in a tiny shoebox of a dorm room/not going to law school in a town where you have to fight people to the death for a table at a good coffee shop privilege Why when I went to law school, we had to sneak protein bars and Red Bull into the law library to get through these things.

I will be taking in the comfort of my own home because, well, I'll be wearing a polar bear onesie for comfort.
