Joke Incoming: Apparently, my internship application.
The contact for a PI position accidentally replied to me with: "Im not particularly impressed and would not interview"

Yeah, I made sure to reply. I asked if they could please detail what was lacking so that I could improve upon the deficiencies in future applications.Wahrheit wrote:Holy shit that's awful.Minnietron wrote:Joke Incoming: Apparently, my internship application.

They're totally assholes and incompetent, but on the bright side if your application is lacking hopefully they'll have the decency to now tell you.Minnietron wrote:Yeah, I made sure to reply. Thanks for the condolences! If nothing else, it broke the monotony of the process.Tr3 wrote:

Triple checked, concise, and extremely polite. I really hope they reply.Wahrheit wrote: I hope you pulled out all the professionalism stops so they don't have anything to fire back with. Can't wait to hear what happens here.
Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh at the irony of the text in light of the situation.DCfilterDC wrote:

I ran my resumes and cover letters by OCS, OPICS, and someone that does project staffing for one of the big four. Biggest issue is one year professional experience. Alas, it is a numbers game!

Thanks! I'm not really upset, especially after finding the attorney's credentials. Doesn't list law school on linkedin. Had to find it on the bar associations website. SUNY Buffalo. He was obviously overcome with the law center's preftige and mistook his feelings. Poor guy. Poor employed guy...lc39 wrote:

The temptation to write back, "me neither; fuck that guy" just to throw them off would have undoubtedly been too high for me. Nice work being a pro.Minnietron wrote:Joke Incoming: Apparently, my internship application.

Growing up, Mom always said, "The best way to prove you don't care is internet stalk the aTTTorney and laugh at the boomer's credentials that would get him autodinged from life in 2015." Mom was big on specifics.Wahrheit wrote:very TLS of youMinnietron wrote:Thanks! I'm not really upset, especially after finding the attorney's credentials. Doesn't list law school on linkedin. Oof. From the other side of the table at this point, I'm so afraid I'd do something like this that when I have this reaction to a resume and someone's waiting for my response, I walk to their office and tell them what I think.Minnietron wrote:Joke Incoming: Apparently, my internship application.

Thanks for making this thread; it's not a pretty sight at GULC, at least in my experience.

It isn't just missent emails. You could write something that gets buried in an email chain and then forwarded on to someone else. I just assume that everyone reads everything I write.BVest wrote:Oof. As someone else already said, hopefully they at least provide feedback so something useful comes from the matter. They clearly owe it.

Does LRW count as a separate class each semester? If so, I'm at 44%.Hand wrote:Thanks for making this thread; it's not a pretty sight at GULC, at least in my experience.
