Another way to lower your debt is to apply for paying position during your first year so you can work for a firm and be one of the lucky few who gets a summer associate in big law after 1l. most people do an unpaid clerkship the summer after one 1L I think.

@MennetoC, thanks for hanging out with us. GULC is a great choice.
@Mike, I don't think the admin allows you to work during your 1L year. Somebody needs to double check.

I meant during summer after 1L not actually during the school year.

I'd say either by the end of today or Monday at the latest

Yeah, I saw that yesterday. It keeps shrinking. I don't mind it though. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that small class size.

Yeah, I wonder how many people have paid the deposit so far.

Fwiw, there will be at least one TLSer who has a deposit at USC but will be withdrawing. I just talked to them via pms.

Interesting also to look at LSN--a lot of people withdrawing this week. There's more monies for us :!:

I'm going to imagine that the FB number will drop by a lot in the next week. Let's keep an eye on it.

Do you think everyone who is planning on enrolling joined the FB group? I think my UG group missed ~1,000 people.

Will they give us more money even though we have paid the deposit?

I know of 2 people who are enrolling that aren't in the group and saw a couple who are in the group that have other law schools listed on their profiles

It's not unheard of for other schools; I'm not sure about USC.

Is FB something I need to make? I mean, does the FB page provide information that I wouldn't find elsewhere?

Brojan, try to negotiate a few more times before 5/1.

Haha that sounds like a great plan, bubblez. I think mine will involve a lot of Netflix and CA beaches.
Nothing productive. I feel like I should feel bad.

size of FB site at this stage means nothing. A ton of people who will matriculate probably don't know about it or don't care just like they don't know about these very useful forums.
