FYI.
75th Percentile grant amount $ 27,500
50th Percentile grant amount $ 20,000
25th Percentile grant amount $ 15,000

Thanks mec !
These seem low based off of the numbers people have been talking about on TLS. 45k, 60k and 82,500, that's only half tuition.
Yea, they do seem low. Is it self-selection, or . . ? ETA: Or it could be that they have admitted apps with higher #s first.
Should I change the numbers?

So here's how USC does it I think:
They have a set of scolly that they offer, and they figure out which applicants fall in that category, based on your numbers and other factors:
- $150k
- $135k
- $120k
- $105k
- $90k
- $75k
- $60k
- $30k
...

How would this poll best serve you all? What $ amounts do you want to see up there?

Gawd I hate doing this. But let me make this very clear.

For people who are intentionally fucking around itt, and the next time I find you here, I'm going to call you out and ask a mod for a ban. Do not post, and do not vote.
If it was unintentional, yellow card.

Someone in the room should have mentioned the number and percentage of school-funded jobs.

Sorry, a question: How long did you have to wait or have you been waiting to hear back on your scholarship reconsideration request?

(I know someone itt said one day, but is that generally the case?)

They sent me a note when they received it, and then got an answer either later that day or the next.

What's everyone planning to wear at Law Day, especially those going to the reception? Hope it's not going to require a quick change into a cocktail dress or something.

I don't think I can do ~7:30am-6:30pm in a dress/skirt. Probably a nice pair of pants, closed-toed 2" heels. A blouse or a nice shirt. Plus a light jacket because I heard that due to the outdated AC system, the law building is supposed to be freezing all of the time. :D

Really excited for what they have for us !!

I looked at all of the video testimonials from last year's Law Day reception, and they were wearing anything from dresses/suits to jeans. I'm going to fall somewhere in the middle.

According to TLS suits are frowned upon by all the other admitted students. It's like wearing a suit to class, just plain nuts!

From last year, from 7:30-8:30am, it was "Enjoy coffee and conversation with current USC Gould students." Some people skip the morning reception tho, that's what I did at another school's ASW. I'm going to go for the conversation, not necessarily the coffee.

I feel bad because I feel like I scared away everybody with my post that sounded mean. If you are reading this, I probably wasn't talking about you. It was in reference to a poster who's assumed multiple identities and has been giving contradictory information. I also noticed that there are many admits browsing the thread but not posting. I promise I'm not mean.

Hey to all going to ASW, where are you all planning on staying? (Feel free to PM me!) Am flying in from out of town, and it seems like there are limited options near USC...

Hi ver, it's good to see you here !!

If Radisson and Vagabond are already filled to capacity, there is Travelodge on Vermont and Sunset. If you stay there, you can take the 204/754 bus down Vermont straight to campus. 204/754 are supposed to be the second or third busiest bus lines in LA, so it comes frequently iirc.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful. I have some family members near LA, so I am planning on staying with them.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
