Shout out to whoever burned their toast causing a 30 minute fire-related evacuation of my building.

Are you going to explain why you asked this

I had considered it as a cost-saving measure.

How did you imagine the conversation was going to go down at the food bank

I figured I'd just show them proof of my financial situation and proof of local residence.

What financial situation would that be? Rolling around in federal cheddar?

Saturday is my last day. I haven't done anything resembling work for days and it's been great.

Last day today. Many of the attorneys in the office had no idea I was leaving to attend law school. Some told me about their experiences in law school and gave me "advice" including:

(1) Not to take summer jobs at personal injury firms since that will only set you up for personal injury jobs (thanks, I hadn't realized)

(2) That their professor on the first day told everyone to "look to your right & look to your left. One of those people won't be here in a month." I asked them if this professor taught Contracts (since this is a scene out of Paper Chase) and was greeted with a blank stare.

(3) That they had graduated from Seton Hall and got a job at the top firm in NJ who didn't ask for grades. I noted that Seton Hall was the best NJ regional school to which they seriously replied, "No. Isn't Princeton Law School?"

Meeting with my boss to talk about quitting to move for law school in August somehow turned into going remote in August and switching to hourly/part-time when school starts.

Was looking forward to a break, but this is going to be a financial boon, at least.

Personally, I've heard Dartmouth Law is the best overall Ivy.

Because they're flexible and I can adjust hours as much as I need for school, and worst case if I can't handle the work load I can just end it. And also, the money will be really useful. Making $30/hr even part time is significant.

Prove your strength. We're going to need some serious anecdotal evidence!

Also: ITFR, I'm jealous, but that's awesome! Enjoy your very long weekend coming up!

Eh, I'm probably not going to analyze 700 posts for when most are posted. That would be anti-QMJSioritis.
