Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
Since Gray isn't out of her igloo yet up there in the Great White North to point me to the Lounge.
Last night I watched episode 1 and 2 of Whispering Pines
I didn't know it was an M. Night Shyamalan production or I would have skipped it. I mentioned it to my wife and now I have to wait for her to catch up because she likes the list of actors and actresses in the production.
That is a great thing about going to work, you have co-workers to discuss things with all day long. Coffee breaks, before meetings start, at lunch

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
SO RELIEVED!!!
Finally did the deed this morning and told my boss I'm quitting. I was so scared/anxious for nothing. He was incredibly nice - congratulated me/told me I am off to better things and even gave me a hug. I couldn't have asked for a better boss honestly.
July 16 is the day! Then about a month of relaxation and moving up for law school

For me it was outweighed by the fact that I'll likely never again have a chunk of 10 uninterrupted weeks of sleeping in, reading and generally doing whatever the fck I want.
Also given that the sad sad meager sad piddling amount of money I'd actually be able to save in those 10 weeks is pennies in the scheme of law school debt, quality time > paycheck.

I will be moving up 11 hours away 2 days after my last day at work. I doubt I'll actually be having that much "relaxation" in the midst of buying new furniture/laptop/changing accounts.

Opposing viewpoint here: there are moments of boredom - not so different from most jobs, I imagine - but it never stops being awesome in comparison to everything else. Just my experience.IsThisForReal wrote:IME, it gets boring after about 6 weekswonka wrote:I'll be quitting 10 weeks before class starts and dat beer cash is something I've thought about for sure.EarthdogFred wrote:July 31st. You were able to visit Cuba as an American before the (lift of the) embargo, so I'm guessing nobuckiguy_sucks wrote:Is it illegal for dual citizens to travel to Cuba without one of those licenses? (Gray call in post)

Sorry, before the lift. And I guess it wasn't quite legal so I don't know what I'm talking aboutbuckiguy_sucks wrote:?
