Nah, kickstarter seems pretty easy. I nominate gray to start it up. All in favor?

Seconded. Gray let me know when you have everything going so that I can give you my address so you can send me $$$.

My laptop cut off unexpectedly last night and wouldn't turn back on for awhile. I'm afraid I might have to work an extra week so I can buy a new laptop before school starts.

Sign up for a store card and buy it with that? Most budgets give you an allowance for a one time computer/printer purchase

ps sounds like an overheating issue

They'll do a one time increase your COA to allow you to take out a loan for a laptop. And you won't have to start paying it off for YEEEEARS. Which means it's basically free.

assuming you aren't already going there --If you got offered a spot at your first choice school, but had to wait out a year for it, would you wait?

Would you go back to the same job you just left and ask to stay on for another year?

If it was this job? No. It was more than a year ago that I first felt the desire to rage quit and I've held on for SO LONG. 12 more months would not be doable.

I've actually thought about this a lot. I definitely would not go back to my old job hahahaha. But I get recruited for a lot of 3-12 month contract jobs (technical skills ftw) so I'd do that. Maybe move somewhere else.

Not sure if she reads this thread but this situation happened to peachesthedoge last year, WUSTL offered her $$$ to defer after she'd already quit her job and moved to STL. Worked out fine for her.

Yeah that's what I thought at first, but it isn't. Think it might be a bad connection somewhere. I'm really hard on electronics.

Do you have AppleCare/ whatever warranty? May be covered.

Pretty sure my Dell warranty was up a while ago. It's like 5 years old, so it's honestly gonna need replaced soon, I'm just dreading it.
