Hey, a fellow Houstonian! If you're serious about that empanada party (which you'd better be... it's not nice to get people worked up like that) I wouldn't mind an invite. Just sayin'.kanthandleit wrote:That would be an empanada, my friend. If I get off my final waitlist (in a good way), I will host an empanada party in Houston and you're invited.ILoveYou wrote:kanthandleit wrote:I've worked continuously since I was 15 years old, weekends and nights in high school and full-time during undergrad.
It shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that there is a constant "fuck it" attitude coming from me, and there is nothing I can or will do to stop it.
A.....I want to say that's a calzone? after my own heart.

I miss the empanada truck at my first high school in Panama.

This thread is for those who stopped caring. If you still give a fuck, go elsewhere.

Missing importantish emails because you spent the last half hour browsing TLS and shrugging it off.Gray wrote: For anyone still confused, please see:Last week I decided not to go because it was raining and I didn't want to find my umbrella.

Definitely belong here. I feel a bit bad because I only started in September, and I really do like the job for the most part and I've just been soo unproductive.
Also question for y'all: I've already requested Thursday and Friday off for the New York ASWs. Should I pull the sick card and leave tomorrow morning so I get all three days? Or is this way too obvious?

It's definitely obvious, but will your office care? At the end of the day... what are they really gonna do?

I've given myself more than a few unofficial snow days this semester. I'm from the south, I still don't know how to drive in this.

Planning on working through May in a corporate, very much non-law gig. I've been in at Gtown since October and have completely checked out since then. I haven't told anyone I work with I was even looking at going to law school, but they've gotta know something is up.
I have beautiful dreams of getting let go in May and collecting 2/3 months severance

I dunno. The two other people on my team pull sick *all* the time, but they're also much more highly functioning/senior than me.
