then explain that with this much work, you need a significant pay raise to get it done by EOW plus OT hours

Has anyone else gotten the, "I'm calling you if I ever get a traffic ticket/arrested jokes?" At least half of my office has told me that and it's getting so old.

Just got back from Panama City Beach, FL. It was great. The Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits is resumed...even worse than before.

Huh. That's what my father in law tells me. Not that he needs an excuse.IsThisForReal wrote:My office has been telling me that they hate lawyers, so when I graduate they will have to automatically hate me.NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:Has anyone else gotten the, "I'm calling you if I ever get a traffic ticket/arrested jokes?" Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
Sorry I haven't posted much these past few days. Two friends of mine also dads have kids well teens, in serious trouble at school. One has a kid expelled and may be denied graduation. He was doing an end of year science fair project using a cell phone broken down to its components. Cool idea to show technology. I even helped the teen on the poster board tri-fold. He took some of the stuff in to school to his science advisor and another teacher saw it and reported it as a bomb. Lock down
Cops whole thing. All BS. And thanks to zero tolerance he gets expelled and school board stands by idiot that panics. The other friend had it worse since his son is in trouble for sleeping with his teacher. Being home schooled I can understand why this has him so upset. I advised both to get a good attorney right away
Hopefully with that I can focus on my WL checks every day ..,and start posting more often

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
So one of the higher ups at my job just created an "email thread" for us to talk about any questions we have about a new project. He told people to reply all so that people can see the questions and answers. I am included on this thread and already there are twenty two new emails.
I saw this and thought, "This must be what hell is like."
But then one of my coworkers spoke out against it. Not by emailing the higher up personally, not by emailing his boss, but by sending an email to everyone that he opposed it
So the higher up storms down to my bosses office and they have a conversation about my coworker. I sit next to my bosses office and I could hear every word.
After the higher up leaves my boss tells me she could hear me trying not to laugh at my desk.
Meanwhile, I've already created folders and inbox rules to ensure I never have to read a single email about this.
The higher up is still storming around looking for my coworker. This might be the only time I'm glad I sit near my boss.

Yeah my coworkers hate on lawyers all the time and I'm pretty sure that wouldn't change even if they knewIsThisForReal wrote:My office has been telling me that they hate lawyers, so when I graduate they will have to automatically hate me.NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:Has anyone else gotten the, "I'm calling you if I ever get a traffic ticket/arrested jokes?" You should know that Pops doesn't answer direct questions. The best you can hope for is a youtube video post that vaguely relates to your query.IsThisForReal wrote:Which school are you going to?storpappa wrote:I’d like to give a big shout out to all the sidewalks for keeping me off the streets.
