I'm not big on turkey, really. haha nor on thanksgiving if I'm entirely honest, but that has little to do with the turkey. Steak and burgers are great, but I don't know that if I didn't have them I would miss them. I may experiment and let you guys know. You may have me on pulled pork, but that's a rarity anyway. I would likely have to stray for a couple pig pickins every year.

Just completed the most upsetting part of quitting my job: transferring my cell phone plan back to my name from the company plan
On the bright side today my credit was approved for both cell phone AND Grad PLUS loans. Woo.

You just get it in your name but use the same FAM code to get the discount rate plan

The discount isn't really the issue (although it's nice), it's that I don't have a free phone anymore. Free international data plan, I'll miss youstorpappa wrote:tuxedocat wrote:Just completed the most upsetting part of quitting my job: transferring my cell phone plan back to my name from the company plan

Grad plus is just a credit check, so you don't need any additional info. I think I got overly excited and fucked up though because now I remember someone saying that the grad plus credit check is only good for three months, so they have to run another later. Oh well, not planning to go bankrupt in the next few months (fingers crossed!).NotASpecialSnowflake wrote:When are we supposed to be doing the whole loans thing? Talked out of it. And I love how the last words are "stupid dog". The poor guy just got literally emasculated from something he had no control over and you blame him? (Clearly he was joking, but still it made me laugh)NoBladesNoBows wrote:Just wanna go back to this video real quick, there's so much awesome in it. It is simultaneously horrible and hilarious to watch that poor dog walk around, and the vet is absolutely hysterical. "No treatment for that, cut 'em off!" Also, disgusting. 180 on the video though
Also, could you imagine if someone told you, "No treatment for that, cut 'em off!"

The fact that I only have six weeks left makes Monday so much more tolerable though (checking into this thread - I am actually already a biglaw lawyer, but am leaving because I got a federal clerkship, hope its cool that I procrastinate here too).

I welcome such nonsense -- I will be taking a little time off over the summer to do Europe and a couple other things, so I feel like a born-again 0L.

Re: Senioritis / Quitting-my-job-soon-iorits
Another week down, first day of 1L orientation looms ever closer
And while I sit on the WL at a few spots with continued bemusement about the process and daily diminished chances that an offer comes in, in time. Then I see others on WL's at schools I got into and withdrew and feel sad for them not knowing.
Now, who is going to take care of my koi pond while I am at school, is the question of the day for me
