Re: Duke Law c/o 2018
I'm visiting next week since I can't make ASW. Does anyone have any suggestions of things to do or see besides the regular tour of campus and sitting in on a class? I've never been to Durham so I want to get the most out of my trip there

Thanks. Figured I was being a little eager.UserNameHere wrote:From what I understand, and I may be wrong, the scholarship committee reviews on a rolling basis on regular intervals. I think it's like every other week or something. I received my scholarship info about 3.5 weeks after interviewing. So you should probably be receiving something soon, but you may be at the point where you interviewed just after the most recent meeting.
I'd give it another week. But that's just me.

Go check out Southpoint and try Rise.lashley wrote:I'm visiting next week since I can't make ASW. Does anyone have any suggestions of things to do or see besides the regular tour of campus and sitting in on a class? I've never been to Durham so I want to get the most out of my trip there
Also try Dame's and explore downtown a bit, including the American Tobacco Campus area.

For those who've received scholarship decisions, did you indicate on your Need Access app that you used 2014 tax return estimates or the completed 2014 return?
I know I need to resubmit the application with 2014 actuals, but I am wondering if using 2014 estimates holds up the scholarship decision or not. Thanks!

I used estimates so I don't think it makes a difference.anon52319 wrote:For those who've received scholarship decisions, did you indicate on your Need Access app that you used 2014 tax return estimates or the completed 2014 return?

This thread gives me hope that 1L will eventually end.
For those of you visiting soon, definitely check out Dames as Serrett mentioned. Make sure you get a reservation though, because it books up pretty quickly.

Rec'd scholarship offer today and I'm pleased - it's higher than the my.lsn median for my numbers. Above LSAT 75th, between GPA 50th and 75th.

I emailed finaid about a week ago and they told me that they can't predict when I'll hear about scholarships because they have no idea when the committee will meet again.

I think it takes them a while to process the need access application, so I wouldn't worry too much yet.

Does anyone want to split a room at University Inn/Brookwood? I want to be close to the law school during Open House, but I don't want to pay $200+ for that convenience.
PM me if you feel the same
