Places like University Apartments are about a mile away from both the Law School and Shooters.
I have also heard that the University and DATA transport might come into very handy.

Sounds like a decent plan. I was going to recommend either doing it at somebody's place or at a sports bar.Winston1984 wrote:Also, I think it would be fun to have a draft party. My league always just does it online (not in person), and I think it's kinda lame. I will be living in a good size house, so I'm sure I'll have plenty of room if you guys are interested. A fun way to get to know each other/talk shit.
If you want to host, do you want to also pick up the organizing duties? And how do we want to do that - do we want to PM e-mail addresses, and then set up some group discussion?

I can do that. I think email would be the best way. Then we can vote on all the logistics of the league too. Any one else think there is a better way than email?NoLieAbility wrote:Sounds like a decent plan. The tradition of Duke TLS FFL lives on!
Btw, we had our draft at Satisfaction this year. They have a side room with a big screen TV that worked great.

Cool, so, if you want to be part of the FFL, PM an e-mail to Winston. (Duke e-mail accounts?)Winston1984 wrote:I can do that. I think email would be the best way. Works great. Alternatively, start a league on yahoo or NFL.com and then just keep adding till we have 12/14

Gunning for a FFL championship is infinitely less annoying than gunning for grades.

What's up guys? I am going to be in Durham visiting campus for the next few days and was wondering if anyone knows of a good spot to eat. Also, would love it if someone could direct me to a good sports bar to watch the NBA Finals.

Tons of good places to eat. Chicken & waffles at Dames is great.

Seconding Tobacco Road because not only is it a great place to watch sports, but its food is great, too. Otherwise, it's hard to go wrong with restaurants. Just close your eyes, spin in a circle, and pointChumborazo wrote:What's up guys? Anyone have any idea about book lists? I wanted to buy books in advance so I'm not panicking about it the week of orientation...esp since I like to order stuff online.
Also a related question: besides paying the tuition amount by the early August deadline and completing loan counseling on the gov website/accepting, rejecting loans, is there anything logistically we need to do to prepare for law school?

You won't know this until you know your small section, at which point this will be the earliest place with that information. As of now, Fall 2015 isn't up, nor will it likely be until late July or early August, IIRC.ticklemesilly wrote:Anyone have any idea about book lists? Thanks for the advice. How do you guys know so much about the process? Are there some guide books or memos that I've been missing?
