Is the questionnaire what we already submitted when we initially applied for financial aid? Or is it a separate new thing?jrush wrote:The financial aid questionnaire in addition to the MPN and Entrance Counseling (for Stafford Unsubsidized and Graduate PLUS Loans). I've noticed this on other OT threads--I think it's due to the decrease in the high end of the applicant pool.LetsGoMets wrote:Wow, we are way behind last year's thread. On May 18, 2014 they were on page 56: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=1375

Has anyone successfully gotten their Deans Certification form sent in? My school apparently is very confused about the Columbia specific form.

I'm still working with my school--they have a procedure for it well publicized on their website (send in a cover letter with info A/B/C and the accompanying CLS form).lnick93 wrote:Has anyone successfully gotten their Deans Certification form sent in? Also a possible explanation. How would we test?qwertyTLS wrote:lol I doubt it's due to the decrease in high end applicants. just a decrease in megapostersEladriel wrote:I've noticed this on other OT threads--I think it's due to the decrease in the high end of the applicant pool.LetsGoMets wrote:Wow, we are way behind last year's thread. Re: Columbia Class of 2018
So I'm guessing just like how they were relevant when we first applied to law schools, we have to send final transcripts from a Community College too if we took classes at one while in high school? Anyone know if we also have to send a dean's cert. from the CC to columbia as well in addition to our UG school?

If the credit you earned at the CC counted towards your UG degree then you do have to send in a Dean's Certification from the CC as well as your UGstephcurry wrote:So I'm guessing just like how they were relevant when we first applied to law schools, we have to send final transcripts from a Community College too if we took classes at one while in high school? I realize this is a little late in asking, but I wanted to satisfy my curiosity: did anyone who sent Juliana Utley an email with more housing specifications receive an email back from her?

Yes I did. I requested housing beginning in november because I am locked in a lease until then. I had previously physically met her though.lnick93 wrote:I realize this is a little late in asking, but I wanted to satisfy my curiosity: did anyone who sent Juliana Utley an email with more housing specifications receive an email back from her?

Re: Columbia Class of 2018
Thanks for the responses- if you don't mind me asking, what did she have to say (broadly) in response? Was it more just an "Okay, thanks for letting me know," or more "I have questions about your request"? My additional preference were pretty general and probably don't require any clarification.

Re: Columbia Class of 2018
I'm in grad school right now, set to graduate at the end of the month. But I'm concerned about getting credit for a course I just completed, which would leave me with an insufficient number of courses to graduate with my Masters. I can take another course to replace that one over the summer and have enough to graduate before classes start but I'd rather not if I don't have to, do you think Columbia would care if I didn't graduate with my Masters considering it's not a prerequisite for a JD? What qualifies as a failure to graduate worthy of withdrawal of an offer of admission? If the credit doesn't come through I'll check with the Office of Admissions for clarity, but in the meantime does anyone know anything about this?

Last year couples housing began coming out last week, followed by apartment shares. So hopefully we will all start to hear something soon.RandomDude wrote:Anyone remember when housing assignments are supposed to come out?

Seems like they're behind last year's schedule on housing assignments already.

Re: Columbia Class of 2018
got to say their bureaucracy is not making a good first impression. Did anyone get the flight refund from the admitted students days yet? I signed up for the direct deposit but then was later told a check would be mailed in 10 days. That was on April 20th.
