What's the normal lag time people have witnessed between finishing their entrance counseling and MPN and those documents being listed as "Received" on the financial aid portal?

Ehh, it's hard to argue that Chicago is objectively better than Yale. I'm okay with Chicago's ranking as a solidly 4th-best school. I wish it had a little more layman name recognition but that's a frivolous complaint.

Moving to Hyde Park at the beginning of July; I'll be working as much as possible to cut down on what I have to borrow for 2L, and figuring out where all the good food spots are at.

Yeah, absolutely! My partner and I are planning on doing exactly that as well. I'm such a sucker for fireworks. 5% of my will is set aside for a fireworks burial.
I was joking a second ago but now I'm for serious that's a great idea

Thanks; I recently was admitted off the waitlist, and it's looking very likely that I'll be at Chicago in the fall.zhenders wrote:Welcome! did you just make the decision?secadc11 wrote:Checking in!

Anybody know how easy/difficult it is to find housing in Hyde Park that allows large dogs and doesn't have breed restrictions?

Shoreland allows dogs on some floors... But I think most places are going to have breed restrictions for insurance reasons. As shitty as that is. But I have seen a fair number of staffies around so it's probably not very well enforced, or people just say their dogs are a "lab mix."

Mine's a German Shepherd/Lab mix (we think). He's also on the smaller side ~65 lbs. Think that will be an issue?Robb wrote:Shoreland allows dogs on some floors... Re: The University of Chicago Law School Class of 2018
I just checked my lease and there is no breed specific ban (Shoreland), but that doesn't mean they would let you have a german shepard here-they might say no at the point that you try to register the dog (you have to register the dog with them); you will want to call wherever you are considering a lease to ask them since german shepards are usually in the category of banned breeds.secadc11 wrote:Mine's a German Shepherd/Lab mix (we think).
