$0 club! At least they sent emails instead of keeping us in limbo until we got the hint...

How kind of them.
Is there anyway to negotiate up from 0? "I'll take 50 cents!"

So I didn't get a "$0" email but I also have yet to receive any kind of communication re: an award. Submitted NeedAccess in early Feb and scholarship app on time...

Johann knows there isn't enough money to get you to leave CA for Chicago. Especially with you have HYS options.

My thoughts exactly...Let's send them this note and see what happens. They may sympathize.

I booked my train tickets for ASW today. Bringing my swimsuit, I hear Lake Michigan is nice this time of year.

I wasn't being serious haha. I might try wading in it if it was 70+ degrees outside but it's way too cold right now.

I mean the lake is right across the street... There's still some ice in the river by me.

Do you think we can use dying of hypothermia as leverage in scholarship negotiations with NW?

Yes, but I don't know when the deadline for them is/was.

I think it's $250 but you have to be flying in from 400+ miles away or something.
As for the polar plunge leverage... imagine if NU had an event where the 0L who stayed submerged up to their neck in Lake Michigan the longest got a full ride scholarship. Seems like a fun, totally safe promotion.
