And thus, I will use my 3000th post to wish you luck on getting into Federal Appellate Practice.

Are the classes that appear for pre-registration the only ones available for Fall 2016? I'm kinda confused since I don't see any Evidence classes being offered and barely any Crim classes.

Only Fall. You don't preregister for Spring class until November. You can see a Fall and Spring side-by-side comparison here: https://support.law.cornell.edu/Student ... tegory.cfm

Any upperclassmen advice on classes to take or classes/professors to avoid? Not really sure where to start with this course selection, but particularly interested in crim.

The only classes I took being offered this Fall are trial ad, federal criminal practice, and first amendment. First Amendment was chill.

Would not recommend trial ad, since you can no longer use a P/F on it and they're not offering evidence this semester. Criminal Defense Trial Clinic is also supposed to be less work than trial ad and likely guaranteed A- even without evidence, but also very little guidance on what to do.

Ethical Issues in Criminal Investigation would be a good way to satisfy the professional responsibility requirement without taking LGL, as long as you don't mind taking another seminar down the road to satisfy the writing requirement. If not that, Garvey has a crimlaw seminar in the timeslot after that. Federal Criminal Practice is also at that time, and that was a great class. Final was a brief that took about 4 days to write. Haven't heard anything negative about CrimPro with Marguiles. Substance will likely overlap a bit with Federal Criminal Practice.

Trial Ad is S/U only this year.

Oh, could've sworn it said "No S/U grading allowed" when I last looked at it.

In that case, I recommend trial ad.

Does anyone have opinions on these classes? I'm most concerned with workload, professor quality, and grade protecting. Anything is helpful! Most of these aren't on the course eval sites...

Contemporary American Jury (Hans)
Alexander's Property Colloquium
Ethical Issues in Crim Investigations (Bachrach)
Pretrial Practice (Radice and Siegfried)
Garvey's seminar
Federal Criminal Practice (Feldman)
Arbitration Law and Practice (Ranieri and Yusem)

How do you tell which classes are limited enrollment/lottery classes and which ones have unlimited enrollment?

The ones with limited enrollment say "Limited enrollment."

Have Lawyering Honors Fellows been contacted yet? If it's by section, anyone know what sections have announced their selections?

Still making adjustments to my final schedule.

I was curious if any 3Ls have information on the following professors or courses:
Crim Pro with Marguiles or Employment Law with Schwab-- trying to decide between the two. Also, insurance law with Heise or Health Law with Whitehead.
Particularly interested in how the teacher/course was, the workload, the curve, the test type (I tend not to do so hot on horserace typing tests).

Employment law is the truth. Schwab is a great professor and the class is really interesting (and relevant in practice). I highly recommend it.
