Got 105k.

Cornell is my top choice? Hopefully they'll match 135 from GULC. Or beat it since their tuition is 6k higher

received no scholarship at all, and I'm immensely bummed, since Cornell was one of my top choices. granted, my numbers aren't strong but I'm wondering if I should give up or try negotiating... sigh

yes... my email literally says "unfortunately, we are not able to include a law school scholarship."

I emailed admissions. I think the offices are combined at Cornell? My email went to the right place because they responded back asking for copies of my offer letters.

I never understand these sorts of reactions. Why assume the least charitable interpretation of a guest's actions to the point you get yourself worked up and want to be a vigilante?

Edit: another way of asking it is, why are law students so hostile toward each other?

Probably because you're specifically told not to participate. If you have such a raging hard on to prove your shining intellect to your future classmates and professors that you selfishly interrupt class about something you really don't have any knowledge about, yeah, you sound like the kind of stereotypical law student that is a tool.

To put it more nicely, we're trying to discourage this behavior for your benefit. Obviously, I will never have classes with this 0L. But you may, and trust me you'd rather not be stuck in class for a year with the type of people who gun at ASW. Hence hostility to keep out the sort of people who seem like the type to derail class discussions, act smug, or run to he professor after class so nobody else can ask them questions.
