Thru Hiking the Appalachian Trail. I leave March 1st.

Pros: Adventure of a lifetime, great real-world experience I can talk about, will get me in good shape, last chance before law school starts.

Cons: Coordinating loans while in the woods, applying for scholarships while in the woods, finding a Boston apartment while in the woods, etc...

uh oh.

I'm working full-time right now and gonna keep working thru the end of June and save as much as possible. Planning to travel a bit in July - either Mexico or hiking some of the John Muir trail. Then in August just chilling out! Fortunately am already living down the street from school so don't have to move or anything. Lookin forward to it.

I've got a surface and absolutely love it. It's small and great for taking notes in class. With that being said I couldn't imagine using it by itself without a laptop (i'm typing this on my laptop right now). The surface is a bit temperamental toward really heavy typing and such. Also you cannot put any form of software on it as it is much closer to a phone than a computer. I got a surface because I wanted something more portable but also more functional than a iPad (the built in Office suite and keyboard cover is what sold me) So while I love it, I would really consider not planning on using a surface on its own. Just my two sense from using one for about 2 years.

I can finally answer the thread title's question now. I'll be working part time for a law office. Also possibly getting a dog and probably auditioning for a community theater musical.

I'll be working through June, then traveling until it's time to move to whichever city I will be relocating to!

Ha, I have popped in and out of there a few times. Sometimes it is interesting but sometimes it's just bewildering. I'm not sure I'm ready for it.

driving up to Virginia to see a couple of friends
Driving to Kentucky to see my cousins graduate from HS
2 weeks in Ireland and England
road trip with some friends to see Niagara Falls( and other stops along the way)
then just generally hanging out, reading, visiting all the old spots where I grew up (since I am moving back in with my parents for a couple of months)
move in wherever I am going beginning of August

Interested to see what others think....

I'm working part time at a small firm that I have worked at for about a year and a half while finishing up my last semester of undergrad. Since my family is here, I won't be leaving after graduation, and could continue working at the firm for the summer and bump up my hours if I want.

However, I also have two close friends that are judges, and can intern for either one this summer. I'm trying to decide if I want to keep working all summer to earn as much $$$ as possible, work till end of May-ish and then intern for judge 1 or 2, or see if my firm will let me split time between them and one of the judges. I don't HAVE to have the money, but it would be nice to have a little extra cash going into law school in the fall.

Any thoughts?
