Probably a little bit of everything. I currently work full time, and don't care all that much for my job. I'm not miserable, but I don't enjoy it. Our lease is up 1 May, and if all continues as planned I'd like to move to the Boston area around 1 August... so hoping our landlords let us stay the summer. So I'll definitely be done working by move time, which will probably be between July and August. I want to go on another rafting trip with some friends up in Maine, and hopefully get some riding in this year.

If our landlord doesn't let us stay the summer we're going to have problems haha. I expect our rent to increase about 75% with the move, and I'll be moving 2 hours from where I work. If they don't let me switch stores I'll probably have a tight summer.

Also planning on taking the PLI course and patent bar prior to law school.

The Appalachian trail sounds awesome, I was thinking of doing the Long Trail, but I don't think it will happen.

+1
No rent to pay if you move out! ;) you can travel super cheap

Grey, I have always wondered this: why tf do all leases in Montreal end on the same day?

Reading, writing. The stuff I haven't had the time to do while reviewing dense ass philosophy the past few years and won't have time to do while reviewing dense ass law for the next few years.

Hopefully I can get a few of my short stories finished and get another few chapters in a book done.

Also I hope to read over 9000 books, yet will end up reading like 5.

hmmm... care to elaborate? :)
Get a travel credit card so you can book at least half of your flight with miles, and then go to somewhere cheap like SE Asia or Latin America, where $30-$50/day will buy you nicer digs or eats than in any big city in the US

fyi you can easily self study for this. so if you're paying for it yourself there's really no need to spend the $$$ on PLI.

I've heard mixed things about self studying. I MAY be getting reimbursed for the class, I havent yet registered for it.

yea I mean if you're getting reimbursed then sure go for it. but I found studying the practice exams and prior questions way more helpful bc you're basically studying directly for the test. trying to learn a bunch of subject matter for an open book test seems counterproductive to me.

Hoping to catch a few summer music festivals (Bonnaroo & Firefly)

Currently looking to find a summer job near my hometown (or anywhere I can stay for a reasonable price). If I can find some form of summer job, I will likely be set to save up some money before 1L. I'm currently a teacher, so I will be getting my regular paychecks until August.

Also planning to prep as much as possible before law school.

From a second-year associate to all of you 0Ls. For the love of all that is holy please (if feasible) spend this summer traveling, drinking, and not doing anything.

Hopefully very little outside of sleeping and sexing.

But I'm expecting it to be very little outside of sleeping.
