where's the TLS meet-up?

Bummed I'm missing ASW...but I guess I have to schedule a visit for April 10th.

I just made a phone call to the Admission office, she said that they haven't finished reviewing all applications, and every applicant will be getting something at the end of this week.

Curious about this as well. But regardless of whether or not it's binding, doesn't it seem like April 1st is the deadline for scholarship negotiations? I couldn't imagine haggling with them after sending a form telling them I intend to accept their offer...

The way I see it, I'll accept their offered scholarship, and some more thank you very much before actually committing to anything. While we're on the subject, how long did it take for people to receive a response to a scholarship negotiation email?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if those who have already been offered $$ have an April 1st deadline to commit, does that mean that those of us who have not yet been offered anything will probably hear after that, when they have a better idea of how much money has been freed up?

A lot of those people will accept without intention of enroll to negotiate scholarships.

Works for me. Although I got an email from the Latin American Students Association about a reception on Thursday night--I assume everyone got that, since I'm most definitely NOT Latin American (unfortunately).

Can you point me to where you found the increase/new tuition? I can't seem to find it...

I was wondering the same thing. The Admitted Students site just says "2015-2016 Estimated Expenses will be available late spring."

How soon after acceptance did you start getting emails from GULC? I would have loved to attend the LASA reception, I just never heard anything from them lol

Merit scholarship question!

I was admitted recently (got my physical letter 3/16), and I applied ED, so I'm not expecting to hear a peep about merit scholarships - however, I'd like to solicit just in case. Is consensus that I should wait a certain amount of time before soliciting, or just send an email now?

so we agree the intent to enroll form is not binding? That's a relief, I just hope GULC is still willing to negotiate after that date

Even if there was a waiting period, one week is certainly long enough. Go now IMO

Thanks! Would anyone be willing to PM me or share their general approach to scholarship solicitation? I've been trying to write the e-mail and feel very awkward about it.

Just got my scholly bumped up! Took them exactly one week to get back to me. I used my Dean's Fellowship offer from WUSTL if anyone is interested. FWIW, they never acknowledged receipt of my negotiation email.

99.99% sure I'll be joining you fine people at GULC next fall!
