Did you just tell them to hold your application?Gray wrote:I'm sure a lot of people who get it will have better offers. I still haven't been able to submit my language eval ughh.kimaginary4s wrote:Bummer, got waitlisted for GLS...
Well I'm thinking it's a fake name for a general admissions account. Although if someone named Addy Missions became an admissions officer, that would be AMAZING.commandercup wrote:I still don't get it (unless it's a two-word "name" for Admissions?).tuxedocat wrote:Hahaha oh man guys. I just "got" the name of the Facebook group admin. "Addy Missions." Very funny, Georgetown. I hope I'm not the only one who didn't pick up on that immediately.
That is totally Dean Cornblatt's secret superhero identity.Dipper wrote:Wow. I definitely read that as "Andy Missions."
LOL that's greattuxedocat wrote: That is totally Dean Cornblatt's secret superhero identity.
Ah, gotcha. Addy Missions is also on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram as well!tuxedocat wrote:Well I'm thinking it's a fake name for a general admissions account. Language evals for canadians?Gray wrote:I'm sure a lot of people who get it will have better offers. I still haven't been able to submit my language eval ughh.kimaginary4s wrote:Bummer, got waitlisted for GLS...
When did you apply? I still haven't heard anything back from them. It's been few weeks now...kimaginary4s wrote:Bummer, got waitlisted for GLS...
Is it weird that I got really excited about the library picture on the instagram account? Damn I miss university libraries.commandercup wrote:Ah, gotcha. Nope and I am about to blow your mind -- there are 2 libraries at GULC!Dipper wrote:

The one I visited kind of reminded me of a prison. Something about those gates.navykev wrote:Nope and I am about to blow your mind -- there are 2 libraries at GULC!Dipper wrote:

I was thinking of going to the local GU bar to watch the game on Saturday. So I hope it's not too early!navykev wrote:Anyone else watching the Georgetown basketball game tonight? Is it too early to jump on the bandwagon?

Would you mind sharing your wording? About to try to solicit without competing offers. Thanks!!canadianbrother wrote:^ I heard back about a week after I emailed them. Asked for an extra 5k/year. Didn't have a competing offer, I just made my case and the bumped me.
You are emailed by the admissions people asking about what number would make you come to GULC. They didn't email me initially, so I inquired about it and got the email solicitation a few days later. I still haven't heard back on their offer, but here's hoping some day soon. The yellow application is just for need based financial aid and has no bearing on merit aid.ViceroyJamal wrote:Question. How are you notified of how much $ you're receiving from GTown? One school sent me an email about a week or two after I was accepted with the aid offer. I received my acceptance letter to GTown last week, but haven't received any email confirmation except when i logged into the Admitted Students Portal. Do i have to feel out the yellow application or will they notify me if I get anything?
I haven't received any emails from the program -- worrying?buckiguy_sucks wrote:LEPWU wrote:Any other PILS-excited hopefuls out there? I'm feeling it in my bones (...and/or just hoping like mad) that there will be some news next week. Looking back at past threads, it seems like students chosen for PILS are notified in late March and given five days to make a decision. (For example, one person back in 2013 was called and told they had been selected as a PILS recipient on Wednesday, March 28th.) Within the five decision days, I imagine, alternates are notified if/when original candidates decline, and they are given the opportunity to accept. The end of those five days lines up pretty well with the April 1st-ish notification for everyone else that they are no longer being considered. Long story short: I'm hoping for news about PILS here on TLS on Monday, I'm expecting news about PILS here on TLS on Wednesday, and if nothing has happened by Friday then I might learn to stop "feeling [important decision dates] in my bones," although I will probably forever hope like mad.an email I got from PILS wrote: You will hear from us no later than March 23rd.
Unleash the neuroticism: buckiguy, was this in response to a question you sent to PILS? Was this an unsolicited update email from PILS? Thank you!buckiguy_sucks wrote:LEPWU wrote:Any other PILS-excited hopefuls out there? I'm feeling it in my bones (...and/or just hoping like mad) that there will be some news next week.
