Everywhere I've looked insists there's no difference between the two--the only way I could imagine B working against you would be if during an interview and someone asked something specific about a typical 1L course. Yeah, this is pretty paranoid. If someone really does ask you how you liked Contracts in your interview, you can just give the same answer as non-section 3 people. You aren't going to respond with "well, actually, I didn't take Contracts, I took The Historical Morality of Free Market Bargaining" (or whatever the hell s3 contracts is called). Even if you really wanted to, you just say "I really liked my contracts course because it had a specific focus on [whatever section 3 focuses on]." Interviewer won't even know anyway unless they've reviewed your transcript.buckiguy_sucks wrote:B might be cool/more interesting or whatever, but I think i'm going to pick A to protect myself from this.CaptainJapan wrote:Everywhere I've looked insists there's no difference between the two--the only way I could imagine B working against you would be if during an interview and someone asked something specific about a typical 1L course. Is anyone applying for the public interest law fellows program? I want to but I don't have anyone to write a letter about my commitment to the public interest, as my life so far has centered around maximizing my individual utility.

Sounds like a perfect opportunity for an essay on how maximizing individual utility is in fact the truest service to the public interest. Well, I am going to draft one and see what will happen next. Hope there're some spots available in this month!Gray wrote:yeah +1 wondering about this. I sent Cara Morris an email right after to say that I'm definitely attending GULC and would definitely still like to be part of the program, but I wonder if an actual LOCI is something that I should do?annlean wrote:Wled by GLS program few weeks ago. It's too late, isn't it? The website says that the application is due no later than March 1st. Am I missing something?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
