Ugh, harsh. You have any other offers to try to convince them with to change their mind?

On myaccess mine says Law Center Scholar but I still have to deposit by May 1st.
Hmm mine says "Law Dean's Scholar" & I don't have to deposit. What does it mean

SRSLY. Coincidentally, Wash U just kicked my scholarship up to 120k. Not sure how much good that will do me with Georgetown though. Wash U wants a commitment by 4/15.

God I hope so. That is encouraging. I'm undeniably getting special treatment at Wash U because of my connections to the school, but 120k vs. 0 is a big gap! Gonna go cry in my Prius.

And thanks to Google, I now know that Crying in My Prius is a band, of course. This is the best meme I could find related to crying in Priuses:

So team, do we have a consensus on the waive versus non-wave intent to enroll? I don't want to pay a grand that I don't have to, I only have one other standing option (Cornell - similar money situation), so should I just say fuck it and commit?

Gray - you raised the point about sending in the waiver form after April 15th, do we think we could actually do that? Doesn't that defeat their whole purpose? Being that you are a TLS celeb and our clear team leader, I'm very interested in your opinion/strategy even though your are likely a Habs fan....?

For those of you not familiar with DC, here's a little glimpse into what life in the Capitol is like:

You can choose to sign the deposit waiver form and commit to Georgetown at any time. The admitted student site even has a separate 2nd deposit waiver form, in case you pay the 1st deposit and then decide you don't want to pay the 2nd one.

Just got the email. 90k total. Guess I might as well hit the enroll button since there's no downside. Would definitely like to up that, though! Early April group.

I'm still waiting to hear back - early April group. I got a response to my follow-up this morning, saying that they would get back to me "as soon as possible."

+1. I emailed yesterday mentioning some upcoming deadlines (UT + UVA). Hopefully I get something today!

Gray wrote:I was the late march group and I got my offer like an hour after emailing them. But then I think I must have already been a part of that wave?
I recall that day and you saying that, and it's arrival coincided almost exactly with when I got mine, so I'd think you are right in that it was just part of the wave and not a consequence of your inquiry. Not sure how much that helps any of you guys, but figured I'd offer my testimony.

Gray - how you feelin' about NU held? Are you still going to be team GULC if you get in? Also, what does intuition tell you about when we will actually here about those decisions? Again, I'm deferring to your authority on this one haha

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
