Just took a look at the videos in the acceptance package/flashdrive -- whoever does the marketing at UM deserves a raise. Impressive presentation

Does Mich notify you if you do not receive merit aid? I'm not expecting to get any, but just curious as it's been 2 months since accepted and no word of merit aid. It would help me narrow down my list if I knew for sure that I was not getting any.

I am pretty sure they don't notify you if you are not getting aid. According to their Twitter they were doing merit aid in order of when people were accepted. I was accepted early in the cycle and never got an offer or any communication about aid.

The only upside of not getting aid (from their website):
In cases where no merit aid has been offered, the Financial Aid Office is occasionally able to take financial aid offers from competing schools into account. Copies of award letters from other law schools for the same admission year should be faxed to the Financial Aid Office.

Thanks! No I had no interview. I submitted in November and it took forever to get a decision. I'm hoping for $$ cuz Im not about to take out a ton of loans, but I love the idea of Michigan!!!

Apparently you're good enough with the site to find the forum you're looking for, Stockton.
Fixed that for you - but wait, do we have to act now to take advantage of this incredible offer?
Let me know as soon as possible because I only have a limited amount of time to brown nose!
Yes, we do! But wait! Do we get to buy it at absolutely no discount?
This is basically a new laptop for law school at factory cost
I sense there's even more to this incredible deal: will it be missing literally the most important program all law students should have?
It doesn’t have Microsoft Office
Sweet! But how do we know we can trust you?
After seeing the sublet posts on this thread trying to get you guys to pay 30% above market, I can understand why you guys would be wary of a dude on the Internet trying to pawn off some merch.
Classic. Undermining the credibility of others obviously strengthens your own. This last bit seals the deal for me though:
pawn off some merch.

Is that Shakespeare? Damn bro, sick diction.

Not sure about the deadline but the application is really easy and you don't actually have to sign a lease until later so I would recommend just submitting the application now.

Also congrats ChemEng!!

Has anyone had success negotiating money (after not receiving any) this cycle? Trying to wait until I have more offers in hand before going to Michigan but summer start makes everything feel so urgent.

Hey summer starters. Here's a housing option before you move into the Lawyers Club/wherever else. If you're interested, message me!

Available: House/Individual Rooms available; ~May 12-Aug 21 (after summer starter exams)
Location: 828 Brookwood Place, Ann Arbor, MI
Description: 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom house less than a 10 minute walk to school. Newly renovated and in great shape. We're law students and there were law students before us, and before them. Basement lounge area. 2 washers, 2 dryers. Two common rooms. Full kitchen. Awesome landlord. The price is half of what we pay. We just want a little of our rent paid for while we're gone for the summer, so let's make a deal! (By the way, CONGRATS. Michigan was the right choice.)
Pictures: http://[link redacted]/OSrjMw
Price: ~$500 per room

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
