Me too :) I even like it more than this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=214540

Which I have no idea why I am doing being that I am already up to my ears in work!

Your advice on personal statements will be valuable. People wonder if writing about cheerleading or bowling or whatever make good statements.

I appreciate the lengthy post by the 0L who has never written a statement, but your advice will be appreciated. The same common questions keep repeating themselves.

KB checking in!
Well, sort of. I'm excited to jump into the conversation, but I need to wait until September 1 since I am still at HLS until then.

Until then, Mike is holding down the fort. Go easy on him.

I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to say:

1. To echo Karen's post, she starts Sept. 1. Right now I am holding down the castle entirely and the population inside is swelling so apologies for being so busy and a bit slow off the draw these days on TLS.

2. Karen and I will share the same SpiveyConsulting Twitter account and we will both tweet news, blogs, data etc. Anything we get or produce, including both for admissions and job search, that we think value-added for you all.

Whoa. I figured that someone was probably trolling under a fake name when I saw "KarenButtenbaum" in the last post column a few hours ago.

Welcome to TLS, KB! Thanks for the pleasant "KB1" (and KB2) ~1.5 years ago. :D

Applications are released at some schools today. Here are the dates for t30. I hope this is helpful!

Mr. Spivey,

Chicago's app has an optional question asking what other schools we are applying to. Should I answer it? Would it look suspicious if I don't? If I don't provide all of the schools I am applying to (I am applying to many schools), would they have a way to know?

Any insight would be much appreciated.

It doesn't matter. I straight-up listed the T14. Put whatever you want, or nothing.

It has zero factor in the admissions decision. You are fine whatever you do, it is for internal trend analysis.

Data (likely 100% complete) from the entire 2012/13 ABA applicants, with percentage changes and volume.

It is nice to see that the <140 crowd is holding up well with only a 1% drop.

I am blown away that there are nearly twice as many applicants with LESS than a 140 as there are applicants with 170+. I honestly assumed many who score that low decide law school is not for them.

Hey Mike and now KB,

Just finished 29 pages of this thread and wanted to thank you for all your hard work helping potential law students navigate this unfamiliar territory. Here's to hoping that this next cycle isn't a "Red Wedding" and that i'll be able to use all this information for success.

People who use Game of Thrones references get huge discounts for our services :)

Also, this year won't be a Red Wedding, you should feel good about the cycle. Thanks for the thanks!

Hey Mike, how would you recommend going about deciding between a school that has a good LRAP but you pay sticker vs. a school that gives a lot of scholarship money but is lower ranked assuming location etc. is equal and you want to do public interest?

Who provides these numbers?

Also, when will the new median scores come out?
