Can they release results already? This is scary and exciting!
Based on the thread from last year, the first results were emailed out around 10:30 PM EST.

So will tonight be the night?

Anybody expecting the results in less than 10 minutes?...
I think I will wait until 11p then call it a night.

As a Californian waiting for results, I find this thread hysterical.

There is of course no reason whatsoever to think that it would happen at 10:30... or any particular time. Honestly why can they not give even a tiny bit of advance notice, like 24 hrs or something..? or ballpark at least? I'm sure that's possible with all the huge organizational effort...

Yeah, it seems absolutely ridiculous to put this many people through this much agony when they have to have some limited time frame they can give us. Its crazy what is going on in this thread, and the anxiety that people will have for weeks. If we don't get them tonight, the rest of the week is going to be torture.

Yeah, I think with the BOLE frankly nothing is beyond possibility. These are the same people that have been caught sitting on exam results for days after they're finished. I'll at least try and give them the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe it's not intentional, but they sure seem to do a lot to help cultivate the stress-filled panic we sit around in for the last 2 weeks of october.

I am convinced Mr Burns from the Simpsons makes these decisions....

In that case here is an idea. If the 2018 results are released tonight, all the future applicants will start flipping out a week earlier, how about that!

Results are probably coming out at 11 am today so I can sob in front of my coworkers.

A co-worker just called NYS BOLE @8:51 AM. She was told no date expected yet but it will likely be closer to the end of October maybe even Nov 1 or 2.
I hope the person she spoke with is wrong

Hm. 600+ fewer applicants than J’16 and a potentially later release date? Yeah, that makes sense.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
