I just hit 350 questions. At 54%. Above average in torts, 65%, and Civil procedure, somehow I average 64%. And at 61% in con law. Below average in everything else. What are you all at? Hope to get to 65% average by test day for all.

I feel like I do better in Themis MBE questions than the adaptibar ones for some reason. Testing about 60-67% on Contracts and Property.

I am also taking Barbri and haven't gone through all of the subjects yet. Despite that, I've done 100 questions so far on Adaptibar set to all subjects. Needless to say I have not done very well, except for Real Property. My question is, should I continue to answer questions, or should I take a step back and answer questions again after I've finished with all of the subjects? I don't want to waste the questions, but I feel like I should practice as well.

Keep doing the questions...30 per day, every day if possible. You'll learn the law just by answering/reviewing mbe questions.

Thank you for the advice. I'll probably end up doing that.

I have done 350 and am average 52% with subject variation like you. I realized I can drill down and print flagged questions (or all) and that has been great! I am in Kaplan too so have to do MCQs there but my preference is AdaptiBar for sure.

Anyone have a methodology for reviewing the questions they got wrong or guessed on? Typically I read all the answer choice explanations and then write an explanation in my own words as to what the rule statement would be. Is it worth going through the rule statements I wrote up?

Average 73% after 200 but I’ve only selected topics barbri has gone over (torts property and con) tomorrow I’ll add evidence

Here is my advice. Until you do 50 MBE's in each subject in adaptibar, don't worry too much about your percentage. After doing the initial 50 in each subject, this is what I did.

I would do no less than 50 MBE's per day.

First 10 MBE's would be exclusively on the lowest percentage subject.

Second 15 would be on the lowest three percentage subjects.

Last 25 would be on all subjects.

Ideally, if, let's say, Civ Pro is your lowest scoring subject you would get extensive practice in that subject until the percentage increased above another. If after a few days, contracts became the lowest scoring subject, then you would focus your first 10 questions on contracts etc.

Throughout bar prep, this method kept my focus on my weaker subjects without forgetting subjects I was strong in. After the 10 weeks of prep or so, I noticed that the subjects on the bottom had changed a couple of times. Incident to this is that I kept accurate records of what my daily percentage correct was as I progressed.

I will echo and add to some of the advice above...

I am a firm believer in the MBE being your focus because it the one thing you can control and predict (and the scores remain consistent from test to test) whereas essays can be far more high variance due to graders, essay topics etc.

Do not read too much into your initial percentages as at this early stage the sample size is too small and you are still early in your review. What I found helpful was to go to the NCBE website and print out their "MBE Outline" as it explicitly states what percentage of questions will come from which section of the outline. Knowing the top few subtopics for each general subject will direct you to where to focus at first, are you killing the most important stuff in a subject? Awesome! Now focus on the nuances, are you bombing on a key subtopic in a subject? That is fine! Plenty of time to review and you will KNOW which topics you struggle with because Adaptibar does not simply say: Civ Pro, 50% it will actually break down Civil Procedure into the corresponding subtopics as seen in the NCBE outline.

The best way to learn is to do the questions in mixed-mode, simulating test conditions/timing as best you can and then reviewing the answers for both right and wrong scores. Over time you will learn patterns and tricky portions of the BLL will get burned into your brain. I do think keeping up with sets of the MBE questions on a daily basis is great, a comfortable number for me was usually around 30, but I do advise testers to take a few "full tests" because there is definitely something different about having to sit down for three straight hours and read 100 questions and then have to do it all over again in the afternoon. You gotta build up some endurance and test yourself mentally and physically.

That all being said, stay the course, keep up with the questions, review all the answers and then when you hit the 350 levels, stop for a day or so, analyze your weaknesses per subject/subtopic, review those portions via your notes, flashcards, outlines or lecture and then get back to the questions. There is plenty of time to complete the ENTIRE program of questions and still get through topics for essays.

Good luck!

Adaptibar is shit. I used it years ago and got a pathetically low score on the MBE. Their questions are too easy and don't reflect the material that's on the current bar. Instead, use Strategies and Tactics, Strategies and Tactics Finz, and Kaplan. The latter two are as tough as the actual exam.

Hi guys, this will be my fourth retake. I’m averaging almost 45% so far after about 1500 questions. Do you think I’ll have a good chance of passing in July? Thanks!

I would target the subjects you are having trouble with. I was averaging a 28% on Real Property which was my worst subject and I did exclusively those. I still didn't pass but I bumped those scores up and knew a ton when I sold my house later that spring!

I'd go for 70% overall - that is where adaptibar's guarantee kicks in (70+ at 1300+ questions) and when the subject performance bars turn green (70%+)

I'm at 69% with 445 answered-

Not an overkill. I'm using FInz, along with Adaptibar and S&T. You should utilize as much MBE study material as possible. So far, I like FInz. The multiple choice questions tend to be a bit weird sometimes, but it's still good.

I don’t know well how to read AB? I did 1050 questions, overall average 62%

But in Past Performance I got Overall Average:
Stage 1, 57%
Stage 2, 61%
Stage 3, 66%

From where 70% is counted? Thanks

69% Through 1300 questions. I would assume its good to not feel safe however until you are above 75%. Also might be a dumb question but I try to do the questions in practice mode as much as I can but is it bad to do them 1 at a time, if I feel like I won't have enough time to finish a complete set sometimes?
