Ca Bar Exam Scoring Change

Hi everyone. First off sorry if this issue is on some other thread. I'm new here. I just can't seem to find (google) any specific answers as to the possible new cut score. Also, the cut scores in the articles reference 3 digits for California (144) so I've assumed they mean the 1440 we are required to get as of now. I've taken the bar 3 times. Scores have been 1391 and 1435 respectively. So as you can imagine this is driving me a little up the wall and now that the exam changed and is over with, my attention is back on the politics going on and if there are any educated guesses as to (i) what a new reasonable score range would be (ii) rough percentage as to the odds the change will be retroactive to this recent exam and finally (iii) is the cut score of 144 meaning the 1440 we have strived for?? So many articles discussing but not having many answers and rightfully so. But maybe as a collective someone out there may have researched the topic a bit? Thanks everyone and I wish everyone the best come November. It's a lonely void waiting for those damn results.

The new score will come out in Sep. and it will apply to this July exam.

For what it's worth, I read that the PT is worth roughly 14%, the essays 36% and the MBE 50%

I think the passing score will be set between 1420 and 1400, but that is my wishful thinking.

I am praying that the CA bar secretly institutes some sort of "autopass" for high MBE scorers. That's the only way I have a chance at passing. I think I wrote an agency answer for one of the essays

Not so fast. The only thing that has been decided is that the state Supreme Court has assumed jurisdiction of establishing a cut-score. They could lower it, keep it the same, or raise it if they so choose. (Altho the latter is highly unlikely.)

The essay is scaled in some sense. Even if you only wrote one word on the essay, you still get 40. So it is very easy to hit 50 or 55 even you are way off topic.
