Also bag wise: I'm carrying a trader joes or similar with my laptop IN its $10 sleeve case and leaving it in the storage room- just my idea for people wondering how to carry everything- it seems sensible and if it gets lost in the room/taken (not that anyone would), nbd.
Seems like pre-ordering is the move. Heard mixed things about what is available nearby.

And for Javits... I asked someone who took it there last year and she said the bathroom situation was totally fine.

If you're referring to the Albany Convention Center there's an au bon pain right inside the convention center literally next door to where you will take the exam, along with some other food options- I remember seeing a McDonalds but ABP would deff. be safer. They have coffee, sandwiches, and soup, do that and you'll be fine :)

Also the link to this map might be helpful- it shows you the restaurants there. the convention center at the plaza is huge (or maybe I just felt small and overwhelmed during exam time lol), "the convention hall/the egg" is where you will take the exam- as you can see on the map, the food court is literally right next door- 15/16 on the map. Hope that helps.

Yes but I heard that they are likely going to keep the food court closed this year. A friend of mine called to ask... apparently a high enough percentage pre-ordered last year that they can't really justify keeping the other concessions open this year so they're just going to keep closed. Doesn't seem worth the risk to me to 'wing it'.

We can just pack lunches right? Seems like the simplest solution to me to pack a pb+j, fruit, and some chips or something, leave it in the personal belongings room, and be done with it.

Good luck folks, I dealt with the noisy construction outside of Javits last July. You guys can do this!!!!

And I'm not here to gloat, I'm submitting myself to the whimsy of the Florida Bar Examiners in the Tampa Convention Center this go round.

Best of luck to all!!!!!

It's $25 for a sandwich. a joke! there's a subway that looks like a 10 minute distance one way tops. can eat the sandwich on the way back.

Yeah I'm only doing the bagged lunch because my school is paying for it and has a dedicated pickup table. The price is ridiculous.

Am I the only one freaking out that NY has asked SofTest to eliminate spell check? Not going to spend any time learning how to spell "unconscionable" and BOLE will just have to be OK with it :/

LMAO I thought I was the only one with an issue with this :D

I also didn't know this was a new development, wasn't it always the case?

So I just realized I am an idiot and was looking at the wrong system page when I decided I didn't have Creators (apparently "Windows 10 Home" is not what I was looking for :? ). Does anyone know what I can do to figure this out? I don't just like have access to another laptop I can use for the exam and I sure as hell don't want to handwrite.

Good luck in your final week-ish of studying everyone!

If anyone has any questions, i'm here to help!

I remember how stressful the last week of studying leading up to the exam was. Try and stay calm, it's almost over!! 8)

Armory is less "in the middle of nowhere" than Javits but they put the majority of NYC candidates at Armory this summer (only a small % are at Javits and Marriott Marquis) so the lines at coat check and at places nearby are probably going to be super long. My friends who got placed there just went with the preorder. I'm up at Buffalo :(

Make sure you all do a softest mock exam this week. I went to do a practice today (just to remember what the interface is like) and realized my login credential were not correct--took about 20 minutes to figure out how to login. Then the software froze in the middle of my practice. I did a restart and everything worked fine.

Going through it reassured me that if anything goes wrong I'll be okay but I wouldn't want to be dealing with login problems at the exam site.

How do you do an additional mock exam beyond the one they gave us that was due weeks ago?

There are also a lot of food options really close by so I think you'd be okay with purchasing something. I really do think a lot of takers will be doing the preordered lunch (I'm sure all the NYU people will because our school pays for it, at least).

I'm not sure--I was able to just download one through the softest software. Admittedly, I'm very confused by this whole process and the interface of softest makes nooo sense.

I know this has been discussed elsewhere, but I don't want to waste the time looking for it. If anyone knows off the top of their head, roughly, what does a 125-135 raw score scale to on MBE?

I'm confused. How did you do this? The mock exam was supposed to be uploaded weeks ago.
