Property and Civ Pro are my worst percentage wise, with Contracts in third. Evidence, Crim, and Torts are my best (no surprise there these were my A classes in law school too, so I naturally just get them better. I truly believe your strengths in law school continue over or at least help you narrow it down to 2 MUCH easier).

Adaptibar's CP questions are so difficult- testing a subsection within a subsection within a rule type thing. Also, my civ pro sets with barbri are much higher so I'm hoping we're only being tested on basic jurisdiction type stuff.

I only do Adaptibar in PQ mode, my avg. is a few percentage points above the overall avg. but I have yet to do the OPEs, saving those for the next week or two.

The MBE on the bar is not similar to Barbri, Barbri focuses on too many PJ/SMJ questions. The MBE on the bar is not as difficult as the Adaptibar questions, but I would say it is more similar to Adaptibar than Barbri. (More motions and appeals)

Do you feel that way in general with barbri questions-- that they're not representative of the actual MBE? Or just with civ pro?

does anyone know re: the 1700 questions we get do those include the OPEs mixed in (ie when we're in PQ mode we could be getting recent OPE questions from any of those 4 years mixed in) or are those 400 questions from the OPEs separate so it's like we actually have access to 2100 questions?

Someone can correct me if i'm wrong, but those OPE questions are mixed in if I recall correctly. The total number of questions is along the lines of 1725 or so.

I would say that the way the questions are presented is not similar to barber and more similar to adaptibar, but if you have a solid understanding of how to attack the barber questions then you will be fine.

Kind of getting a late start on the Adaptibar train, and a bit behind the Barbri % completion. Anyone doing mostly Adaptibar practice questions rather than Barbri PQs, and using Barbri mostly for lectures and essays? I don't think there's really enough hours in the day to do everything Barbri assigns plus 50+ Adaptibar questions per day, at this stage anyway...

I'm at like 27% barbri completion lol, I don't think anyone does everything barbri assigns, there's just not enough hours. I try and mix it up with both.

How are you all doing percentage wise, if you want to share? Have you taken any OPE exams yet in exam mode? Also how are you balancing your time between MBE practice and MEE practice? Kind of nervous for the MEE as I have been dedicating most of my time to the MBE on adaptibar.

I'm at 66.1% right now with 1550 questions answered. I haven't done any exams yet on adaptibar. I may in the next couple weeks. I did do the Barbri mock MBE though. Im taking Texas bar so we dont have MEE we have 12 Texas essays, an MPT, and procedure and evidence sections for crim and civ. Thus far I have mostly been focusing on the MBE (i am a retaker and that is what killed me I failed <1%) I did fairly well on the essays, MPT, and P&E sections last time. The last two weeks before the bar I plan on still doing 50 questions a day and really just focusing on outlining as many practice essays as I can (my goal is 12 a day). If you are doing decent on the MBE focus on the MEE these last couple weeks while still at least staying on top of the MBE. If you are running short on time do as many essays as you can just outline them mostly focusing on the issues and rules becuase as long as you can correctly spot the issues and know the general rules you will be able to do the rest easily.

I am doing Kaplan and Adaptibar for this bar this time around. I got an ok MBE last time I took the bar at 128. This time I am averaging around 48% with 500 questions completed, while on Kaplan I have 70% correct. Is this indicative of the exam?

How are you all doing? Not scoring as high percentage wise on these OPEs as I would like

Not as high of a percentage yet as I'd like, but my scores have been improving. Trying not to beat myself up these last two weeks.

Hey all--hope the studying is going as well as can be expected. Does anyone happen to have a quick and dirty list on the following topics?:

- Corporations: How many votes req'd for BoD meetings/How many shareholders needed for various shareholder votes? (Just generally voting reqs for corporations).
-Wills: Abatement: Heirarchy for abatement
-Wills: Instestacy statute (UBE state)

Also, I've seen a few reports that Adaptibar fact patterns (not the same tested issue, but same facts) show up on the MBE. Can anyone speak to that?

I finished all the questions and was wondering if it's beneficial to keep doing them over? I know seeing the questions again is helpful for seeing the rules and everything, but sometimes I can remember the answer choice and don't know how helpful it is. Thoughts? Thanks!

I've been told it is helpful to do that, and I know Adaptibar tracks it and if you get to the point where you've done all the questions and are repeating them they'll show you what you answered the other times and when you answered them. I'm not sure how helpful it is to me personally because when I repeat questions my mind automatically goes to "What did I answer last time? Was it right? What was the right answer?" rather than actually thinking through it like I do on the first go. I guess it depends how your mind operates then when repeating them; if you can continue to think critically, do it, if not, I guess look to other means to study for the MBE.

Finished as well. I (personally) think it's useful. I've been doing these for a few months, so I there are definitely quite a few that I don't remember enough to just remember from memory. I'm trying not to take it as demoralizing if I got it wrong twice. Instead, I'm trying to look at it as reinforcing to look for that trick and remember it on game day.

Same here- I'm just hoping on actual MBE day the answers have somewhat of the same format, because I've become used to looking for answers on association now even with MBEs I've never seen.

yeah i mean i can't remember them all b/c there are so many and my memory isnt that great haha. so i do think it is helping. if i recognize a fact-pattern, i try to not jump straight to the answers and actually read the pattern again and see if i can pick out the rule before going to the choices. sometimes it's hard though and i accidentally just jump right to the choices haha

I am definitely hoping that some of the fact patterns repeat on test day. I'm hoping so since it seems like they do in practice. I've heard some reports, but I'm not sure if that's gullibility/wishful thinking.

Fingers crossed, because I'm in a UBE state with 50% MBE emphasis. Curious- is that the norm for most states? I heard California is something like 35 or 40%.

I'm in a 50% MBE state now, but previously took the OH bar which is 1/3 MBE. I kind of like that my score is 50% based on the MBE this time around.

I'm worried because apparently only 175 Q count this time around (great)...

The MBE is not my strongest suit IMO, I either know the answer or I don't, I can never reason through the right one because I have a weirdly over-active associative memory so I get caught up by good looking words that I may have run into before in my outline...sigh.

Yeah, I wonder if the 175 instead of 190 will help or hurt on net. I mean, on the one hand, fewer chances to create a higher raw score for scaling. On the other hand, taking the MBE feels like getting punched in the face. So, maybe knowing 25 of those punches were really just playful slaps that won't leave a mark might be nice?

I always feel so dumb when the correct answer turns out to be one I eliminated.

I wonder if the 25 that don't count are evenly distributed between the subjects or like will 15 of those questions be property because they decided property wasn't long and confusing enough that they've added more topics in lol. I think if we check back in 10 years the MBE will have added 2 more topics: wills and trusts and not to be embedded either but like full blown topics of their own like they did with civ pro (calling it now!) lol
