I call that loyalty! Have seen you around...

The nightmare never ends...

Most don't come back. Why did you?

More accurately, I never left... After the shock of failing once, something clicked in me, and I didn't stop until I figured out this bar thing. After passing the second time in 2014 Feb, I dedicated the rest of my time to helping others do the same (in case you didn't know, I run a website at http://www.makethisyourlasttime.com and a private Facebook community with the same name).

Precisely because 99% of people understandably never come back to the bar (even if they say they want to help, while being high off the excitement of passing), I feel a duty to stay and guide future generations. It's natural... no one goes back to prison willingly. But every half year, it's the same shit where people are terrified and lost, and there's barely anyone left to help because they all went on with their free life.

I wish I had better guidance in law school and through the bar, and so I became the guide I wish I had. None of the platitudes and BS and "safe" advice. I want to help people achieve that free life with a candid perspective. I've done my work if I become obsolete to you. But I also do it for myself: It's an enjoyable and meaningful endeavor, as well as a source of side income and a creative outlet.

I sent her flowers and bath leaves yesterday because shipping is a lot cheaper before Friday, but I guess it could have also been a nice way to blunt any bad news

Wine glass in hand,
squinting at the www.calbar.ca.gov webpage trying to figure out where the results are going to pop up in ten minutes....

"The State Bar is undertaking a series of studies into the bar exam. The initial phase of the standard setting study, which examines the cut score, begins on May 15."

What does this even mean for future exam takers?

I passed. I'm sorry for all of those experiencing a temporary setback. This process was much crueler and unnecessarily stressful than it needed to be.

I took the bar and passed in NY a few years ago and it was not this horrible. From registration to paying $1k to take this horrible test to sitting through 3 days of shit to waiting for some shitty countdown clock to determine my fight even though they probably had results weeks ago..... PURE ASSHOLISM and I hope people sue the shit out of the State Bar.

Congrats to those who passed. My sincere condolences to those who didn't. Either way, kudos for having legacy bragging rights for taking three days of this shit.

If you didn't make the cutoff this time, the fight is not over yet. In fact, the two-day bar may be just the thing you were looking for, if you're good at multiple choice or didn't care for the PT.

This is just an iterative process. You either learn or succeed. Let's take what we learned and strike back. We're here for you if you need support.
