It is my understanding from some reliable sources who are connected with NCBLE members that result letters will be placed in the mail today. That timeline would be on par with the past timeline for mailing of results. The long weekend wait begins. Best of luck to all NC Bar examinees!!

Yeah, I checked to see when the results from Feb 2015 and July 2014 were mailed out, and both were mailed out the last Friday of the month after the bar exam (i.e., Feb 2015 - mailed out last Friday of March 2015; July 2014 - mailed out last Friday of August 2014). So, I agree with you that it's highly likely results were mailed out today. I live in Wake County, so it's possible my envelope could come tomorrow, but Monday or Tuesday is probably more realistic.

I just had a job offer fall through on Wednesday, so now I'm thinking failing the bar wouldn't be the worst thing in the world --- it's not like I have a job waiting for me anyway.

Even though I know that NCBLE won't post the results on their webpage until several days after the letters are mailed out, I still couldn't help checking out the site just to see if they had posted that letters were mailed out on Friday. I didn't see anything. Clearly, the waiting has made me neurotic.

No letter in the mail today. Someone was floating around this idea that those who passed will receive letters today, those who failed, tomorrow. There's a special place in hell for such trolls.

No one on my social media has said anything about results today. Unless they all failed and are keeping quiet, it doesn't seem likely the letters were mailed Friday as the rumor says.

Also @oldsoul, we all know that's false. I had a friend fail this bar a year ago and he got his letter on the same day as those who passed. Don't worry!

Actually yes, my friend who lives in wake got his passing result today.

I live in SC so I'm not sure it's at my house yet. I'll need to have someone check.

I think it has more to do with where in the state you live. If you live in Wake County or nearby, then you're more likely to get your letter today than if you live in the mountains or Outer Banks where the mail has to travel further.

I'm in Cary and waiting for the mailman to come by. It's agony....

Yeah, one of my friends received their passing letter today.

It is my understanding letters are dated 8/28 with 8/29 (Saturday) postmarks. I guess it depends upon where you live in the state whether the letters got sorted and sent to your post office by this morning to be delivered today by the route carrier. Maybe those with PO Box addresses have a better chance today, as well as those whose mail only goes through one sorting center?

Sadly, I can't get anyone to check my mail in coastal SC until tomorrow, so I will have another day of waiting.

I was wondering that too, regarding failure. I understand that the sample here is bias given no one really reports failure, but I'd freak out if no one has gotten a failure letter today.

My social media is still pretty quiet.
