There isn't any real cons about the Javits Center, except for the fact that it will be crowded and that it is not really close to a subway station. The closest will either be 42nd or 34th street. So just plan on staying nearby or starting early. I think you lucked out with Javits center, I know many people who want to take it there, but can't.
