I agree completely, but that leaves me with pause for concern because I'm not sure which is more representative of the actual test. I know Adaptibar's questions are the "real questions from the test", but maybe bar examiners only let out the easy questions. I'm just trying to do a healthy mix of both to make sure that I am prepared for either.

Slightly easier.

But their CivPro questions are terrible.

I doubt that thats the case-look at the lsat, lsac will sell you as many full old tests as you can afford. no reason to think its not the same with the mbe. Considering how freaked out by my barbri performance, I certainly hope that its that much harder to scare you into mastering things, and then say "wow, couldn't have done this without barbri". Note that I'm pretty happy with barbri, just want more questions and want another shot at multiple choice after not doing what I feel my best is on studysmart.

I've been recommended Kaplan's PMBR as a supplement to Barbri. Haven't looked into it.

When I do Civ Pro MBEs from Adaptibar, it isn't horrible when I get one wrong and 55% of the rest of the Adaptibar users got it wrong as well. Thankfully the real Civ Pro MBE's are not as painful.

For anyone doing Adaptibar and has done civ pro there is a question with an answer that makes no sense...I even left a comment on it. It's Question 1621-Civil Procedure-Jurisdiction and Venue...If anyone wants to discuss let me know.

I looked that one up. I did get the FNC correct, but it was just a weird set with that same fact pattern.

I saw your comment but it's is a Burnam v. Superior Court PJ issue. I know he didn't do squat to justify filing in that forum in the fact pattern but because so, it justifies the FNC dismissal

so what percentage correct/ "performance percentage" is passing in adaptibar? Dont tell me its the overall average, because you can be below average and pass the bar...same logic as barbri percentile?

What do you mean by same as the Barbri average? Basically, I don't understand the Barbri averages. Can we be below those and still be passing?

hurldes wrote:I did a combination of Kaplan and adaptibar. I eventually stopped doing the Kaplan questions and exclusively did adaptibar (for the MBE) because their questions were shorter and less confusing. I found I could learn concepts better through the adaptibar questions. I would begin each day of study with 50 questions straight from adaptibar. That was very helpful.

I don't know if I'd personally say Kaplan Q's are confusing, but they're definitely needlessly wordy and have lots of red herrings. I've also encountered plenty of grammatical and spelling errors, which is just unacceptable at this level.

Maybe I'll drop the dough for Adaptibar to further supplement :/

For those doing Adaptibar -- how many qs have you answered so far and what's the percentage correct?

206 -- 51%.

187 -- 71%.

May try to get to 200 tonight. Thus far, I have been abiding by the programs way of doing things, 50 questions for each subject. before moving on. We dont finish all of our substantive lecture until July 2, so kind of worried I wont be able to get through all of the Adaptibar questions using this approach. I may try to complete some of the substantive lecturers earlier so I can get more practice utilizing Adaptibar.

PS. My Adaptibar Civ Pro is a sad 50% so I have get better.

Yeah, I got started on MBEs the day after results came out. 30 a day isn't hard. 30 x 30 days 900 :-)

What do you think is the easiest section of the MBE to improve upon?

The one I got, WS5, applied to the questions programme.

Note: It is not a referral code. I'm not making money off you guys.
